What a great game tonight, all cylinders firing and played all 9 innings

Pelfry pitched a magnificent game

the hitting and base running was outstanding

the long ball was there tonight

the bull pen was great

I hate to be too optimistic, but it is starting to look good.  I am looking forward to seeing Santana tomorrow and I hope he gets run support.

I'll tell you, it did NOT look like they'd have a (very good) shot at being in first at the all-star break, but here they are knocking on the door.  I know it's easy to say right after tonight's game, but I give almost all of the credit to Pelfrey and Perez--and maybe Warthen, who knows...

They beat a very good pitcher tonight and did it very effectively.  They are seeming to gel more and more every game.  This could be the stretch they look back on as the turning point if they're able to finish at the top.

pelfrey has been outstanding...glad we didnt send him down earlier.  the whole team is playing well, hopefully they found something here.

we have a big advantage in the starters the next 2 games, keep the wins coming.
