Travesty --- he is simply caught in a numbers game... while the HOF will never come out and say it, the truth of the matter is simple, Donnie Shell and LC Greenwood while dominant in their era were not the stars on their own team... the like of Greene on the DL and Blount in the secondary were selected and rightfully so as the leaders of their group on the field.
It is rare to have numerous players from a segment of an offense or defense in the HOF. There are excpetions, such as Swann and Stallworth, Ham and Lambert among others, but it is difficult for voters to get past the idea that there is only one 'great' player
