Who do you think will be the first big name player to sign with the Buccaneers now that they have released Kevin Carter and Greg Spires and are 44 million under the cap they have the finances to go after names such as Randy Moss , Lance Briggs , Asante Samuels , Michael Turner , Justin Smith , Alge Crumpler or any one else in free agentsy. While I know they wont sign all theese players realistically they could.who do you see them going after first?

Asante will cost big coin, but he is a top corner in the league. He's Tampa bound.

The Bucs are cheap they won't sign anyone. The only way a team could ever be 44 million under the cap is if they were cheap to begin with and the Bucs are cheap.

While I could see someones point on how the Buccaneers are to cheap to sign a prime time player one could also argue the case thatthey havent been cheep infact this is only the 2nd year in a long time that they have been able to go after Players such as Asante Samuel.I think Lance Briggs would be the 1st player I would want to target , pick up a CB in the draft and sign a vetran WR like Dante Stallworth or Jovan Walker Javon Walker would be a good fit I think.

Theldea ( the smart one) the genral idea of this discussion is who do you think the Buccaneers will target first starting tonight or tomarrow at midnight either way that being said asking this question now rather than tomarrow will give a better idea of what is going to happen rather than ask it after something happens .
&nbs p; &n bsp; &nbs p; &n bsp; Thanks Smart guy!

The problem is that the noone would ever really want to play for the Bucs. They would have to overpay to get any of the top flight free agents.

I am sorry Bucs fans, I was going to post my opinion on the subject but then my attention went to the backfield of your AV.

It's still the Bucs....the same Bucs organization that has one of the worst winning legacies in the league. Money talks though so the Bucs better anty up if they want any top of the line free agents.

IF the sign anyone, it should be a WR, or Alge Crumpler. Alex Smith is a decent TE, but they don't have speed needed at the position.
If you're looking for a speedy tight end, it's not Alge Crumpler. He's good, but that guy is slow as molasses.
