How else can Obama's popularity be explained? He has a new vision....one of change?
How new is that? Every election someone touts the "change" word. Nothing new about that. Yet, people are buying it like it's bottled water. Wake up- one man, even the president, can't change anything. You say you want healthcare for all? Who doesn't? But how? Oh yeah, it's called socialized medicine. Ask the Canadians how that's working out for them. Also ask them how much they pay in taxes to cover it.
They want to bring the troops home. Okay, bring them home. But when the terrorists grabs a stranglehold on Iraq and everyone here will be building bomb shelters, and it will happen, don't ask me to help you dig yours.
John McCain is the only candidate worth voting for. So he's changed his mind on a couple things. Big Deal!! He has the right. He is also smart enough to admit he was wrong instead of saying something he doesn't believe just so he doesn't look bad.
Hillary is so far left she would need a life jacket if the earth wasn't round.
Obama, well, I don't know what he stands for. Oh yeah, change. Which reminds me I need to stockpile on fruit of the looms, because I will be changing them frequently if Obama becomes president.

you guys bash big business, but WHO is big business, moms,dads, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles. without all those RICH guys, who put up millions to open a business, you all would be working on a farm..we have the biggest welfare/handout system in the world. the qiuckest way out of poverty, is a good job. bashing big business is like bashing all of the people who work in them. get a clue dems.
i agree on one aspect on your views....
our welfare system needs to be shutdown, and restarted again...b/c it is completely messed up right now, ppl who do not deserve welfare ( a LOT of people) are getting it, and many that do are not...things need to cahnge, and the welfare system needs to be changed, i have been thinking about it, an dthe only way to do that effectevely is to shut it down, and start it back up agian, with everyone making new applications, and a system to check the status by fed agents of these people, i have seen ppl with brand new 30k cars go into a supermarket, and buy a whole bunch of things....and use thier Food Stamp card, and frankly, its pissed me off a lot (and a lot of those things they get is junk btw)
but big business also requires reform, oil prices should not be going up, when the wages of everyday people are not, for the sole purpose of driving profits of big business to record numbers.....when that happens there IS a problem, and gov intervention is the solution, b/c business is selfish
i believe in capitalism, and do not like gov intervention in the economy, but there is a limit, and right now at the very least hte oil companies have destroyed past that limit, and they need to fix themsevlves up

yes are taxes are a little bit more,but ,we arent losing our houses over it.or are jobs.we have the 2nd largest oil reserve in the world.number 1 in natural gas.i am 40 years old,never ever paid,healthcare,its worth the higher tax,

here is a few misc. thoughts....the last time i checked the president doesn't have the authority to declare war, only the senate does, so as convenient as it is to blame one person i think that there were about 94 (or so) of them that thought it was a good idea.
when the economy took off under the clinton administration it was the republicans who controlled the house and senate.....ya know the ones who actually authored the bills that turned the economy around.
these two example illustrate who the president always gets too much blame and too much credit predicated on the circumstances.
oh and there is an immense difference between health care COVERAGE and health CARE.
