I agree but it should have been done sooner to help the team at the beginning of the FA period.

Here in Tampa we have seen Derrick Brooks and Ronde Barber, as well as others over the years, restructure deals to benefit the team.  It is nice to see as long as the team holds up its end and tries to get better.  It is part of the reason Tampa has maintained a real good defense for over a decade with very few lapses.

That is good for the Cards they kept Fitz but I want the Eagles to sign Bryant Johnson.  They need a guy with that kind of size. 

I agree.  A lot of the top receivers in today's game would have demanded the final two years of his contract or to be traded.  With the 15 mil bonus he is supposed to get he will still be making like 17 mil this year.  It is great to see a player who loves the game get paid and at the same time help his team out so they can all benefit.  Can you imagine TO in this situation?!  He would have shipped out so fast or would have ran his mouth off until they did trade him.  Although it would have been nice to get this done earlier, say before Calvin Pace signed with the Jets, but it now gives the Cards some breathing room in the cap to make a move or two if they so desire.  Real glad to see this go down.
