What do you guys suggest the Falcons do about drawing fans interest? It's obvious this team is trying to stick to the Patriots blueprint but this team is a long ways off from being anywhere near the Patriots level at the moment. Ticket sales are going to be at an all time low as well as merchandise sales and almost every home game will be blacked out. The team lost out on getting a face when they choose to go with Michael Turner at runningback. Matt Ryan nor any other player outside of Darren McFadden in this draft is not capable of being the new face of this franchise right away.
So I ask what can the Falcons do to draw fans interest this upcoming season? Wins are going to be far and between so throw that idea out the door as well. Any ideas on the subject would be nice to hear but I will still find it hard to believe that any idea will get fans pumped for this season. Shame I can't hit the fast forward button and get to the good stuff but wait we have never had back to back winning seasons.

Well Dirty Bird, all I can say is be paitent if you have been a Falcon Fan as long as I have then it comes to you as no suprise that winning seasons are far & few. I like seeing them rebuild this team as of now I do not like everything they have done with player personnel. I still think we will pick up another solid FA before the draft or this summer after July 1. More importantly how do we use our picks . I am not to worried about a face & drwaing interest I like guys who a hard nose ball players & do not relish the spot light, humble, hand the ball to the ref after they score. Guys who pack their lunch every game & bring it. Brooking, Boley, Abe are those kind of players. Ruddy could certainly be our next superstar or turner. That guy has great North south speed & is a big back who knows?

Dmac isn't the guy we want to be the face of our team, he has Character issues we don't need that gain.

I have to agree with streetcarr94. I have seen worse than this - much worse - in the past.
And I'm not convinced that a "face" is needed to attract fans. Look at what happened with the last "face" the team had.
It's going to take time. Like streetcarr94, I don't agree with everything that Tom Dimitroff has done to this point, but I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for a little while to see how it all comes together.

We've definitely seen much worse than this. Pick any year with Marion Campbell as head coach and go back and look at that year's roster. We're far better off already.
Anderson certainly isn't the greatest signing, but he's still a long way away from making the roster. Seriously, does anyone really see him beating out Babineaux and Moorehead to make the team? He's here to compete in camp, the same way that guys like Leander Jordan and Toniu Fonoti were here last year.
I'm expecting a few more signings like that along the way. Stepanovich might be one of those as well.

why cant white,turner,norwood,robinson, or matt ryan be our face of our franchise? i think your givin up on us before we even start, i think we actually have a fighting chance this season, we have a new coach who CAN succeed in the NFL, we have a NEW GM, and we are getting the old out and bringing in the new... changing the atmosphere for the better... i know you want results in a hurry, but just like sex, its way better if its drawn out, right?

Yea, I don't know that this team even has a face on the roster right now. Keith Brooking, maybe John Abraham, but I don't know. We just need to be patient and wait the worst of the storm out and sometime we will eventually have the answer. Right now we just need to figure out who we are as a team; Let alone put another face on this organization. Dimitrioff hopefully will work out the kinks in the general office aspect of things its his first major job and there are just things he still needs to learn certain things that just can't be taught. At least he is figuring these things out sooner rather than later. Go Falcons!

drtybyrd going to jump off the cliff when the team takes Brohm. Let the face be the Atlanta Falcon Team, it might just work. Maybe year two or three they can add those pretty faces, after they learn to fight together for each other, dam if their not loading the trenches, should be plenty of competition in that area, I'm sure the guys who come out of camp as starters and backups will be able to do their jobs well enough for year one of rebuild. Honestly Atlanta has never had a better opportunity to build a successful team.
