xavier: lock

umass: 1 win and there a lock

dayton: needs to get to the finals for serious consideration

I think UMass needs to reach the finals now. With all these smaller conference tournaments upsets. The field is tightning down to BCS teams vs "Mid Majors" for the final bids.

UMass should have the nod over Syracuse but then again you know how biased this committee can be.

Unlike last year I hope this UMass team can win 2 games to reserve a bid to the dance.

Unfortunately, two wins may not gaurantee a bid either.....Xavier is dancing no matter what happens (now they are just working on their seeding). UMass and Dayton should be in as well, but if St. Joes, Temple, URI, or Charlotte, goes deep and/or wins UMass and Dayton are in serious trouble.

As for the A-10/UMass hater who doubts the A-10 can get more than two bids, I gaurantee you that they get three....X is a lock and the other two will come from a pool of (UMass, URI, Dayton, Temple, St. Joe's, or Charlotte....the pool expands if Duquesne or Richmond go on a serious run).  The A10 is the number seven confernece in the country and the best non-BCS conference, which usually means 3+ bids.  Learn your college basketball my friend.....I see that you are a BU fan....I'm sorry but the A10 is a much stronger confernece than America East....Also, why do you feel such anger and hatred towards UMass and the A10 WollieMan?

Go UMass!!!!

Monday night definitely put a little more pressure on a team that is notorious for choking late in the season. If Butler gets upset tonight, then it's going to be an absolute struggle for us to get an at-large bid if we don't make it to the A10 finals.

We all know Xavier is a lock, so no need to discuss them any more. The only possible way the A10 gets 3 in the dance is if UMass and either Dayton or St. Joe's gets to the finals and beats us. UMass should dance if we get to the finals and lose, no matter the opponent. What we really need is for the powerhouses in all the BCS conferences to do their job and win their tourneys.

One win was going to be our ticket to the dance. No doubt.

Now one just gets us in the discussion. Two punches our ticket.

Go Umass!

Hands down, three teams from the A-10 will get in.  Why do you all fear the BCS schools regarding at large bids (besides the obvious bias)?  The only way that BCS supremacy becomes an issue for the A-10 is if a team like Providence wins the Big-East tournament or something similar happens in another one of the BCS tournaments.  Many of the BCS teams have had their tickets to the dance punched for a while, plus many BCS bubble teams like Syracuse, Florida, Maryland, VT, Minnesota, et-cetera are near pop-point.  I agree that the 2 or 3 upsets in the small conferences make things a little tight, but that happens every year not to mention that it may throw some of those teams onto the bubble.  Barring a catastrophe UMASS and Dayotn will be at the NCAAs with St. Joe's and Temple in the mix as well (waitng for UMass and/or Dayton to slip up).....Am I saying the A10 will get more than three bis? No, but I'm saying they will(SHOULD) get at least three bids and they will be well deserved.

This isn't the A-10 of the past few years folks, this confernce is strong almost like it was in it's prime (1990s).....Give it some respect!!!!

GO UMASS!!!!!

GO A10!!!

Your coach sucks!  He won't call a timeout till his team blows their 18 point lead.  He should've called a timeout minutes ago but lets him team fall apart first.

They deserved to lose.  If I was the athletic director i'd be wondering why the hell the coach refused to call a timeout for so long...

I'm still baffled how they blew an 18 point lead to Charlotte.  They still have a chance to dance with all the other teams losing.  This would have proven why they deserve to dance.  This was a statement game couldn't seize the opportunity!
