Peverly will be a star in 5 years

Rich Peverley will be a star in 5 years. I hope the Predators keep hima round, I think he is a really good young talent. They brought him and Ramzi Abid up last year, and I thought peverley's game was much better than Abid's, but the kept calling Abid back up.

This win over the Red Wings was HUGE! We needed this win, maybe this will give us some momentum so we can gain some traction and push up to 6th place to start the playoffs.

I agree.  Rich Peverley hasn't mastered all the mechanics and chemistry of being on an NHL team yet, but every time I see him, he's hustling.  He's currently my second man-crush for the Predators, as I will always hold Scott Nichol as my first.

As for the game (I was relegated to radio), the Predators did exactly what Terry Crisp said they needed to do: take it to the Red Wings -- because if you sit back and wait for the Red Wings to come to you, they'll run roughshod over you.  Good effort.  And I'm glad that Dan Ellis seems to be emerging as the #1 goalie.

I will also go ahead and admit that the interference call against Brett Lebda on Jordin Tootoo was complete bunk, but I guess this is what commentators mean when they say it all balances out over the course of a season.  (I'm still steamed about the "delayed whistle" call many months ago.)

Upon my review on the recorded game, that is.  It was rather hard to tell when I was in the car.
