	You obviously aren't paying attention or maybe you can't read. They weren't complaining about not receiving 40,000 for themselves but for the staff (i.e. coaches and other personnel). I would be upset with them too if I thought they were whining about money for themselves but they were standing up for people who were going to be required to go to "work" the game in Japan without getting the 40K the players were getting.

	You're an idiot. It was about the coaches and staff. It was about those who support the players and keep them ready for the GAME. If you want to talk about the economy, talk about the OWNERS and PROMOTERS. They establish what prices the fans pay. But then again, you're an idiot and wouldn't understand.

	Get a clue ! This is about coaches and staff, who do not make millions. Granted, the average contributor to message boards like this would trade places with them in a heartbeat, but the players did the right thing and the coaches will be compensated.

	I agree with you on the point that they are making a huge deal about not getting 40,000!!! to spend while in China. Ridiculous!! Lets not forget that its not as if they are going to be paying for their hotel rooms or food during their stay that already is paid for.... Its utterly pathetic to complain and "strike" about such greed, were not dealing with the Red Sox pay checks here. This is simply "fun money" for them while they vacation in China. Disgusting is all I can say....

	In response to all you people saying that the players are great for demanding that the coaches get paid as well. Why cant the players, if they are soooo... concerned about the "little guys", use some of their FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS to pay for the staff guys. ANd once again to reiterate... its NOT as if they have to pay for room and board with this "stipend" its simply "paid vacation fun money". I wanna see the players really care when they have to spend a cent of their OWN money....
