First of all, you people all have something in common. You talk too much, you assume too much, and you act like you know something when in reality you don't know anything. Has this guy been convicted of abusing anybody? "no injuries were observed" is as close as you come to observing anything..... now, IF he is hurting his children, then he deserves whatever he gets... but you don't know if that's true,,,,,, oh, and here's some more for ya...
IF things were bad, why are we hearing about this AFTER he got busted for gambling and probably fixing games/? You think if an nba ref was abusing his wife and kids that wouldn't have gotten out earlier then this? This very well could be an evil woman that waits until the perfect time to make accusations and score big in court..... pretty convenient,,, no ??
He was "connected" to low level mobsters,, or mafia is another term for them. He wasn't born into their families... in other words, you ever think this guy didn't have a choice but to fix games and take bribes ? What would you do if the mafia gave you a choice,, take 5 grand for every win for your time, or you find one of your kids bellyup in a pool somewhere in what is deemed to be an "accident" ?
Oh, another thing. Ever wonder why the rumours of " several other senior nba refs being involved" just disappeared into thin air? Let me educate you on how that happens. See, the mob he was connected to told him to shut his mouth or things get a whole lot worse.... so he did... the nba gets off scot free here as well since their sport would have been destroyed had the truth come out...
Do you people really truly believe he's the only ref in sports fixing games?? And to the guy that said he was making a "fortune", ,,, well maybe to you .... but a senior nba ref is lucky after taxes to take home 100 grand a year.. hardly a Kings ransom.....
yeah and where is the 2,000 per month alimony going to come from since he's never going to make that much money again? Can any of you afford to pay that? How many of you can say that not even one month goes by without saving 2,000 dollars??
Think before you talk is what I have to say... nothing is ever as it appears... there is no black and white here... games are fixed every single week in ever single sport world wide.... there are billions of dollars that go through vegas every single year... the mob is a massive customer that somehow never loses... how could that be??
I'll tell you how... in basketball a questionable foul is all it takes.... in hockey a bad penalty... football is simple as hell to fix,, a holding penalty taking a first down away can mean the game.... a bad strike zone in baseball or kicking out the starting pitcher for sayin a word is simple..... a bad penalty shot in soccer is sure to cost you the game...
I could go on but I won't bother... only smart people can digest what I typed above.. I don't think there are too many on this board.
