Wow how did this Villanova team make it to the Sweet Sixteen?? How did Clemson lose a 18 point lead to Villanova. Villanova barely made the tourney to start out with and they are very lucky team to be in the Sweet Sixteen. Siena isnt very good and they only beat them by eleven. Im disapointed to see a team like this to be in the Sweet Sixteen. I look for them to be blown out against Kansas.

i'll tell you how Nova made it into the sweet sixteen. By playing great defense, having great coaches and good guards. Villanova is a good team and if xavier was in our bracket Villanova would beast them.

I wouldn't go as far as to say Villanova would beast Xavier. It would be an interesting matchup however. But really it doesn't matter because i look for nova to be beat by KU by a 10-15 pt margin. KU is just to big and deep for nova but u can be sure nova will give it all they got. Some might say that Clemson was a big team but clemson sure doesn't have the speed or depth that KU has. Reynolds should have a good game but look for the rest of the team to be shut down a bit.

Yeah right... against Clemson, they played a team that had no leader that could step up for them and make clutch plays... Villanova program had been to 2 Sweet 16's in 3 years (entering that game) so naturally they were more composed and clawed back with plenty of time left, hence rattling the upstart Clemson Tigers... and they would not have done this if they weren't so dynamic and talented.... there's a reason why that matchup was seeded 12 and 5... They DID get a break against Siena, who not only upset Vanderbilt; really they just exposed them and the SEC. Vandy was a completely different team away from home, play with no swagger whatsoever. If anything, SEC was overrated. They were pretty much atrocious this season. Who scares you besides Tenn (if that, with they way they've played lately)? Vandy's SEC player of the year was one-dimensional. For God's sake, Georgia won the damn thing.... I just had to let that be known....... YES NOVA got a break against Siena but they are legit.... Top 10 team entering next season.

Being that you are most likely correct about Nova geeting blown out by kansas come friday, I'll try to take it easy on you Xavier freaky deaky.
The Atlantic 10 is the most overrated conference in college basketball. It should be considered a mid major conference. Yes Nova got lucky drawing sienna in the second round, but coming back from 18 down against Clemson is saying something. Plus they play in a real conference as well, the Acc.
Speaking of being lucky, wasn't it Xavier that almost lost to Georgia? Yeah, I thought so.
I can understand you're hatred for a big time program like Nova, its just a shame that Xavier can't join them in the BIG EAST.
They would have gotten DOMINATED in the BIG EAST. You can agree with me that the A10 is a joke, if not you can stay in your little scrub world known as the cupcake league.
By the way, good luck against West Virginia, you'll need it
Remember, the BIG EAST will always kick the A10's ass. Go Nova & Mountianeers

Xavierfreak forgot that at the end of December VU was ranked 17th in the nation and Xavier was unranked. VU then lost its starting center to injury and few weeks later lost its starting small foward, Clark, to illness. A month and 5 losses later freshman & McDonald's AllAmerican swingman, Stokes, finally "got it" and starting contributing. Also seldom-used junior swingman, Anderson, caught fire and also started scoring, adding solid defense and rebounding. Finally Clark recovered from his illness to make a solid contribution in the last few games and now in the tourney.
They are still not talented enough to beat Kansas and with their youthful inexperience could be beaten badly. Regardless it has been a pleasant run for a raw, young but talented team.

overrated happens every week during the year when the top25 comes out. All subjective.
The NCAA tournament has nothing to do with luck or ratings, it's all about winning back to back games. If you win back to back games, your in the sweet sixteen- it's that simple.
As far as Kansas goes, of course they should win but if all the experts were right over the years, Kansas should have had at least four or five more championships post Danny Manning than they do. How many times has that team been a 1 seed and failed to do anything.

Siena isn't very good? What have you been smoking? They took down both Stanford and Vanderbilt, both top 25 teams, and if they had shot the ball a little better from the field today the outcome of the game could very well be different. You obviously are no Villanova fan but do a little research before you make such dumb and uninformative statements.

Your BB IQ is zero. Nova has great tradition and is one of the most respected programs in the country. They have made the sweet 16 three of the last four years. They have sent numerous players to the NBA, come from the Big East and have won an NCAA National Championship. In the tournament you play the teams in your brackett, whoever that may be. Nothing against Xavier but they are not in the same class as Villanova. You sound more like a poor loser.

Calling any team in the Big East overrated is just stupid. I can't wait to see Xavier get stomped by WVU. Nova will lose to Kansas because they are stacked with talent, but Nova has the makings of a final four team in years to come. they'll give the Jayhawks everything they have on Friday and you never know what happens in March.
I'll give credit to Kansas because they have 3 NBA players in their starting lineup and they play great defense. So does Nova.

They are in the Sweet Sixteen because they beat Clemson & Siena. Playing in the Big East prepares ateam for the NCAA tournament. The A-10 is a joke comparatively speaking.

This is March Madness and one bad game is your ticket out of the tournament. Heck, Xavier is still in it and they lost to Temple and twice to St. Joe's before the tournament. Anyone can get lucky.

I remember when I was a younger man back in PA when Villanova was given absolutely no chance against Patrick Ewing and Georgetown.
Now a KU grad and a huge fan of the Jayhawks I hate hearing how much deeper and stronger KU is than Villanova.
This should be a great game!
