because if not then the headlines would be similar to this..............

the itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout. down came the acid and knocked the spider out, up came the vomet and dried out all of his brain, and the itsy little spider never tripped on acid again.

stay safe kids and remember dont do drugs because it will make the spider very sad face.

You forgot the record number of players sent to the NFL each year. And the astounding number of top-25 teams in final national polls. Just saying, its not the Snag Every Championship conference for nothing.

Don't worry guys, Harvin has played just about his entire college career with nagging injuries.  He might have played one game this past season feeling close to 100%, against the Vols, and that was it.  If not for a sickness that kept him out for a couple weeks he would have played in every game and will play in every game this coming season if God wiling he can stay away from a serious injury, "knock on wood".

And yes, SEC Haters, he is going to be a front runner for the Heisman this coming season whether he plays every game at 100% or 90%.  He may be the most electrifying player in college football and can rush for 100yrds and recieve 100yrds in the same game against any team in the country.  Sounds like a Heisman candidate to me.

But......if he does get his health status to 100% and stays there for the entire year.....look out!!

These threads are always the most fun because everyone tosses shots at each other while the season is still months away... Is it just me or does every time an article is written about any SEC team people have to bash? What does the OSU game or the Michigan game have anything to do with Harvin's heel injury? To answer the topic question, this is rellevant for the same reason all these arguements show up in march. Because everyone is excited for the upcoming season and can't wait until things that ACTUALLY MATTER happen to report them, so anything will do. Its got nothing to do with the SEC or OSU or any of it. Everyone's just ready for the season. As am I, don't get me wrong. GO GATORS GEORGIA SUCKS lol jk its gonna be such a great game in J'ville, I can't wait

Well, as many have pointed out, Percy Harvin is going to be a significant piece to the Florida Gators football program this season...

However, this is to let the students of Florida know, that they should participate in the
Urban Meyer "Beat One of My Players in the 40 to Win a Scholarship" contest...  No longer with the students at Florida need to beat Harvin's blistering 4.28 40...

Now, all they have to do is beat
Chris Rainey's 4.33...

(I'm kidding, by the way, thanks)

Didn't I see somewhere that Riley Cooper ran a 4.26 fourty sometime?  I may be mistaken, but i'm pretty sure that I saw that on some site.

justafan67...did you ever consider that I ATTEND THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY? My problem with this story wasn't that it was a headline in the college football section...but that it was a headline on the front page (period). I wasn't aware of Percy Harvin...you have all informed me that he is a very talented player. As for some of the other prognostications(like him winning the Heisman, future national championships, etc)...we'll leave the college football season (which is still almost six months away) to sort that stuff out. PEACE!
