Very smart move here as Polian is an integral part of the Colt's success.

I agree. Polian is worth his weight in gold when it comes to finding young players through the draft. His management of the salary cap is also second to none.

Unlike his father, Jim Irsay knows the value of leaving the important football decisions to someone who knows what they're doing.

This and bringing back Tony were no brainers.  There is no better owner-coach-GM trio in the biz right now that Irsay, Polian, and Dungy.  I look forward to the next 5 years of them riding out this Peyton Manning window and winning one or two more SB's.

I beg to differ. Tony, Whining Bill and Irsay are good for sure, but from where I'm sitting the 3 SB's the Kraft-Belichick-Pioli team has won trumps the 1 SB the Indy trio has won.

Don't ya think?

hahah please...the Colts trio is much better then the pats......if u look at this way the pats got lucky with Tom Brady....they had no idea he was gonna be what he is and they were even debating taking Tim Rattay over him.......meanwhile polian was smart enough to see how much better peyton was then ryan leaf....how much more reliabe edge was then Ricky Williams and how Dwight Freeney and Bob Sanders would make awesome defenders even though they are undersized for their positions.....im not saying the pats front office isnt smart because obviously they are for moves like the Randy Moss one...but the colts front office is best in the business bar none

If they were the 'best in the business' don't you think they would have more SB wins than just one in the 'Manning Era'? I do.

Also, the Moss deal is ONE in a long line of great moves by the Patriots. The Moss deal just happens to be the most recent. Also, sit back and watch what the Pats do with their #7 pick this year. Look for them to fleece the Cowboys because Jerry Jone has a hard on for the #7 pick so he can package it and move up to get McFadden. Should be interesting because Jerry Jones always makes it interesting..hahahaha.

While I think Polian is a whiney little girl he certainly knows his football and his football players. I have the utmost respect for Irsay as an owner because he lets the 'football people' make the decisions. As for Dungy , he is a good but not  a great coach because of his playoff record with Manning as his QB. Quite frankly they should have more SB wins. It's kind of funny that Lil Eli might have more SB wins than his big Bro soon.

I'm not trying to start an argument here. I was just disagreeing with the original poster who said the trio was the best. I still say 3 SB's trumps 1 SB any day. Just my opinion.

Also, to the guy who said the Colts did it 'cleanly'.....hahahahahahahahaha. Good one!!! Factually incorrect, but nonetheless a good one!!

Wow.  The Pats won three SB's by a combined nine points.  We already knew they shouldn't have been in the first one (Tuck Rule), and now we find they cheated in that SB too.  Let's not forget that the Colts lost to the Pats twice in the playoffs during Pat SB years...I wonder if cheating affected those games too.  We may never know.

Dude..give the 'cheating' thing a rest. That card has been played to death!

As for the SB wins. Last time I checked the team with the most points on the board at the end of the game wins...right? Did they change the rules to say every win has to be a blowout? That's news to me. Can you show me where they changed the rules and only blowouts count?

Also, the 'tuck rule', which happened over 7 yrs ago (obsess much?), is an actual rule in the NFL rule book. According to the rule and the league and the officials it was called correctly on the field. I bet you didn't know that it was called at least 4 times that year during the regular season. Why is no one crying about that?

Where is your 'proof' they 'cheated' in any SB? Do you have some info that no one else has? Are you friends with Matt Walsh?

As Goodell has stated on two occassions. The 'taping of the Rams walk-through' is an allegation he has known about for months and to date there is no proof that any wrong doing took place! End of Story. If you don't believe me you can look it up yourself. He said it on Michael Eisner's MSNBC show about a month ago. Check it out.

Dude, you need to get some new material because that 'cheating' junk is getting old! Get informed and then maybe some of us will take you seriously.

It's time to move on brother! Later.

Ralph Wilson made the worst move when he let Polian go... he is the best in the business...and if you don't like it get out of town...playoff hungry in Buffalo...
