What do you Bulldog fans think about this?  I keep hearing more and more rumours about this and that talks are ongoing for us to replace K-State this year.  I think this would be an awesome game between two good teams that nobody wants to schedule anymore.  Based on the Dogs' games against Texas A&M and Georgia Tech last year, and your returning lettermen you might  have an edge.  Your preseason top 25 ranking on ESPN is pretty impressive as well.  We lost Ray Rice but return a senior qb with over 3000 passing yards, two 1,000 yard receivers and most of our defense.  This is the kind of west coast/east coast game the networks love, so we should get some decent TV time out of this as well.  Whaddaya say Dogs?  Wanna play?

Sure, I'd like to see that game.  Just as long as Rutgers returns the trip back to FresNO someday before red knights suck again.

Sure, I'd like to see that game.  Just as long as Rutgers agrees to return the game back to FresNO in the future before the Red Knights suck again.

Sounds like a good idea if K-state faulters.  I also heard that Rutgers is a good replacement.

Since you went 4-8 in 2006, seems like that'll happen to you before us Green.

If I'm Fresno, I do NOT back out of this game with Kansas State.  Out of curiosity, do you think this is killing the morale of Kansas State players to see their university trying to wiggle out of a game with Fresno State?

I'm not really interested in Rutgers.  I don't most Fresno fans care about Rutgers either.  Sure, they went 8-5 and won thier bowl....but how did they get that record?  They started out 3-0 by beating Buffalo, Navy, and Norfolk State!  Is Norfolk State D1?  After that, they finished the year 5-5.  That nothing special if you ask me.  I mean, Winning games against teams like Syracuse, S. Florida, Army, Pitt, and Ball State just isn't impressive.  Finishing 3-4 in the Big East doesn't catch my eye.

Sure, Rutgers has greatly improved.  And I'd prefer them over Sac. State or some other scrimmage.  But Fresno established long ago what they hope to accomplish with their non-conference scheduling.  And Rutgers takes that a step backwards.

Wow sorry I asked.  Well hey good luck scheduling LSU or whoever you think you're on a par with.  Didn't realize you had a national championship team there. I guess that means East Carolina will be headed to the NFL next year.

I think that this would be a good game. How ever I think that as far as prestige goes this is not a good game. If we want to get into the bcs we need ot play the higher teams in these confrences. Kansas State needs to stay on the schedule to give us a chance. Not knocking rutgers but I dont think there haveing another season like two years ago.

Not knocking rutgers but I dont think there haveing another season like two years ago.Just so you know, we beat K-State in our bowl a couple years ago 37-10, and it wasn't that close. Their only touchdown came on a punt return in which the guy going to make the tackle slipped and fell.

To think that K-State is a better game than Rutgers at this point, is showing ignorance toward both programs.

Save your breath JTMas.  I thought (wrongly obviously) that it would be fun to talk to some WAC fans for once, because this conference gets a raw deal from the BCS and its teams don't get fair coverage in the press or polls, like the Big East.  Unfortunately these guys think exactly the same way. They think it's more "prestigious" to play a mega-conference doormat than somebody who will give them a good game. K-State has had one winning season in the past four years and that was 7-6.  That'll really make the pollsters sit up and take notice.
