What a game!  Your team really played hard and although my Mountaineers had the game in hand, you came out on top.  Clutch shooting and a few WVU mistakes late.  Two very evenly matched teams.

Good luck!  I hope you make it to the final 4.

I enjoyed sparring with you all leading up to this game.

Thank you very very much. Im hoping they wont get hosed against UCLA/Western Kentucky they almost did today with that jump ball that gave west virginia the ball in regulation.. I guess it was questionable but in the end all in all XAVIER WON!!

etfree - Good to see a fan who is a class act. It was a great game and honestly I thought it was lost more than once. WVU did a great job of coming back and really took it to Xavier after that hot start. WVU did exactly what X usually does, collect foul shots and keep themselves out of trouble. Then X came back and started getting the fouls toward the end. The miss by Alexander on the free-throw is a heartbreaker but Duncan did the same thing last year and it worked out well for them this year, barely. If not for X's depth WVU would have won this in regulation easy. Congrats to WVU on a hard fought game. I mentioned St. Joe's earlier this week and from about the 9 minute mark in the first half I thought I was watching an A-10 game. Good luck next year as I'm sure X won't be back to this level but WVU might. The only wild-card is Huggins. He's frustrated many a UC fan for years here in Cincy.

Thanks etfree... it was a dramatic game to watch for sure.  I honestly thought XU was going to coast the way they went out to that big lead early.  High marks to WVU for coming all the way back and having their chances to win.

I will say that some of your comrades who were downing XU and the A-10 should be concerned about the Big East at this point though.  Only 2 squads left out of 8 (Nova and Louisville)... I think Louisville has a good shot to make it through tonight but the odds are long on Nova making it.

Good luck to your team next year.  Huggins has them headed in the right direction, and Alexander is as good of a player as XU has played all year.

Xavier was amazing!!!

Xavier is a team that is always fun to watch.  Especially tonight.  West Virginia may have tied the game to force overtime, but Xavier stole the show with its two threes to "X" out the Mountaineers.  Way to go, Xavier!! As I said before, your team is a class act!!!

I just want to second what etfree said and say congrats to anyone who is a Xavier fan who reads this!

Your boys played hard and looked like they wanted it more in OT.  Alexander could have won it with the free throw in regulation, but he didn't.  No excuses here!

Good luck against UCLA or WKU!

Now that is what college hoops is all about.  Two evenly matched teams just exchanging huge blows back and forth until one team comes out on top.  Kudos to both teams and good luck to West Virginia next year.

what a game... West Virginia is the real deal and they played great.  I thought they had the game.  WVU has some classy fans and i like that.

But does anyone else remember what happened to Xavier's coach last time they went to the elite 8 ??? I just hope Sean Miller doesnt get greedy on us, Xavier needes to offer him atleast $100,000 more for next year, so he can say he makes a million a year.  Then he might not go to Indiana.  You gotta believe Indiana is going to offer to him.  Just think how many of our four recruits for next year won't come to Xavier if Miller leaves.  On the radio today they brought it up to Brian Walsh about Miller possibly leaving and Walsh said its 50/50 if he would come to Xavier if that were to happen.

but for now... GO XAVIER !!!              and go wku

As a WV fan I want to say congrats to you guys. You have a great team and Good Luck against UCLA. I hope that you do them in because living here in AZ I am tired of hearing about how oh great and powerful the PAC-10 is. You guys just keep on winning. CONGRATS AGAIN

I have to applaud the class of WVU and its fans. That was a great game that could have gone either way. It's refreshing to see fans not making excuses. All the luck next year, rock the Big East.
