UNC: This team is playing real well right now and they play as a team. They have arguably the best player in the nation in TH. Ty Lawson is 100 % and is maybe the fastest PG in the nation. Everyone knows they can score but their D has stepped up lately as well.

Louisville: They are a good team from a strong conference and are well coached. Having a good big man to compliment all their quick guards is a big thing. They can shoot and that trapping D they run could give teams a lot of trouble. Tough matchup for anybody.

Kansas: Probably the scariest team and most well rounded team left, imo. They can shoot, defend, rebound. They just do it all. They have all the talent in the world the only question is their coaching. With talent alone though, they can beat anyone they are facing.

Davidson: Two words. Stephen Curry. Davidson will ride on his shoulders as long as he lets them. Best shooter left and he can score with the best of them. The role players on the team know what they need to do and they do it. They're playing with a lot of confidence and that can take a team a long way.

Memphis: They showed Michigan St. how good they really are. People conitnually talk about the poor free throw shooting yet they can win even with it as an achilles heel. They are the most athletic team left led by two all star players in CDR and Rose. They can shoot and defend and are playing each game with a lot to prove.

Texas: They have the best point guard in the nation and probably the 2nd best shooter left. Augustin will create shots for his teammates but will still get his own. They don't have a true big man but they don't need one. They play fine with what they have and it has been proven so far.

UCLA: They play defense. AT times, the offense looks nonexistant, but they can scoe when they need to. Collsion is as quick as anybody and can go wherever he wants. Love is one of the top big men in the country. As long as a team can play D though, it will bring you far.

Xavier: Don't know too much about them but from what I have seen and heard..Lavender leads this team and Duncan is a very solid contributor. They are a very quick team and could pose matchup problems for an opponent.

Good analysis.  I'd add that while the saying "Defense wins championships" generally applies, there is a good balance in the Elite Eight between strong defensive teams and strong offensive teams.  I disagree with you that Kansas is the best remaining team, although I do think they're not far off.  I think UNC is clearly playing the best all-around ball right now.  Then it's a toss-up (in my view) between Kansas and Louisville.  Too bad all three can't be in the Final Four.

Yeah, too bad the UNC Louisville game isnt the Final Four, becuase it certainly could be. Of the 8 left here's the order I'd say of the best chance to win it all.

1. UNC

2. Kansas

3. UCLA

4. Memphis

5. Louisville

6. Texas

7. Davidson

8. Xavier

I don't think that UCLA is playing well enough right now to warrant the number 4 spot.  They have the talent - but they just don't seem to be playing their best.  I would probably put them at 6 and bump everyone else up.  I must add that I do UCLA winning the whole thing on my bracket though.....

Good post, but no offense, I dont think Ty Lawson is the fastest point guard in college. I always believed Chris Lowe was. But they are both fast and i would like to see them in a foot race...

North Carolina- Lawsons Back and him and hanbrough are a huge threat not to mention ellington and green, great coach to

Lousville- if the can not turn the ball over they have a shot but clark and smith and pagent will have to bring there a+ game every night if they want to win also great coach

Kansas- best all around team left they have big men comeing out there butts with rush leading the team and there quick gaurds its hard not to put them in the finals in fact i have them winning they have the best talent all around

Texas- they will need to live on djs assists and abrams treys and there quickness cause they dont have a big man

Memphis-Great team but can they keep there composhire i think they will with there coach but its questionable if they fall behind

Davidson-no way they will win unless curry has a 50 point nightfor the next 3 games great run though there def the george mason of the year i just dont think they can get past kansas big men

Ucla- loves a freshmani think there good enough for the finals though unless shipp dosnt get his head out of his butt then they might have a bumpier roadcollison great guard

Xavier-well balanced team all around they have 4 or 5 people in double fig
