That looks like a pretty good starting 5 to me, although I think Paul Williams plays the 2 and I'm not sure Johnson has the ball skills to play the point. I am sick and tired of not having a true point guard and having to settle for London Warren, (who has the quickness but needs to do alot of work over the summer on his ball handling, decision making, etc...), or a shooting guard playing out of position. I am also hopeful that Searcy and/or Benson can push Kurt for playing time. Huelsman is a hard worker and I expect him to get better, but he will never be a shot blocker and he lacks the athleticism/quickness to guard quality big men in the post.
What is the deal with Stephen Thomas at point guard? We hardly saw him at all this year, except in garbage time. Also, what happened to Cordiero, was he injured for the last two months or just in the dog house?
Finally Gregory, I will acknowledge that you were correct about Chris Wright last night, he does need to "learn the game" develop a midrange game and cut down on turnovers, but I attribute alot of his problems to knowing that he is the most talented player on the team and trying to do too much. In any event, I think we can all agree that the sky is the limit for him.

I don't know much about your recruits, but I am interested to see how Little and Wright step up to take BRob's place. Good luck next year. I hope we all represent the A-10 well.

I was checking out your recruits next year and Dayton has some real solid guys coming in. They have a couple of top 150 guys with some new guards. Should be interesting to see all this young new talent on each A-10 team next year.

I look for Stephen Tomas to be our point guard next year, may be far fetched but he might be the answer. our bench should be pretty deep. im not real worried about next year. Wright will only get better and paul Williams has a sweet stroke. Benson from Dunbar is gonna be a big help off the bench. And Luke with the last name I wont even attempt to spell is big forward with long range. Flyers fan we need not worry. And Marcus could be a candidate for point as well. Little I think is better coming off the bench but who knows he will be a senior and him starting he could really be big in his last year.

I actually think that UD is going to go get a JUCO Point Guard and let Thiago Cordero go. For the line up
PG- Juco PG
SG- Marcus Johnson
SF-Chris Wright
PF- Charles Little
C- Kurt Hulesman
First players off the bench, Paul Williams, Josh Benson, Chris Johnson, London Warran,
But for the PF spot there has been sum rumors that Charles Little may transfer out because his mom is deathly sick in Tennessee.
And for the rest of this season. April 3rd at 7:00 pm watch Brian Roberts in the all american 3pt contest. on ESPN!

FF2,
So you are penciling in a JUCO transfer, whose name no one knows, (not to mention his skiils), as our starting PG for next year? Doesn't inspire alot of confidence that we have solved this ongoing problem.
Also, I don't know where you get you information from, but since Charles Little's mom lives in upstate New York, (although he is from Tn, per an article in the DDN earlier this season in which his mom said that his playing basketball at UD was the best medicine for her), I am going to question your sources on this.

I'll also refer you today's story in today's DDN where Gregory talks about Warren starting at guard next season with no mention of any JUCO transfer coming in. I'm not saying that it can't happen, but I tend to put more stock in what the coach is saying than "sum rumors".
In response to all the people that want Brian Gregory fired, why? The program is clearly moving in the right direction. What do you think is going to happen? Is Dick Bennett or Bob Knioght coming to coach at UD? (No.) Gregory has begun to change the recruiting trends at UD. Instead of trying to find kids like Roberts, (who Gregory recruited by the way), that are "diamonds in the rough" that big schools missed on, we are finally luring kids like Chris Wright, Paul Williams and Jawan Staten away from big programs to come to UD. I read an interrview with Thad Matta in which he said that he doesn't consider Chris Wright one that got away, he "knew who Wright was but didn't really recruit him". This is total BS. If Matta really didn't recruit Wright, then he is the one who should be fired. Wright was rated in the top 10 of high school forwards by virtually every recruiting service of the nation, Matta just won't admit that he got beat by Gregory.
Gregory could be coaching in the Big East right now, (at home in Chicago at DePaul), but he chose to stay at UD because he felt he could he could be a part of building a special program, which is more than we can say for Oliver Purnell. I for one agree with Gregory, this program is on its way up.
