I am a huge UNC fan, and I believe Kevin Love possesses more NBA talent, but the Final 4 is college basketball, NOT THE NBA. Hansbrough has been a college basketball coach's dream. He never stops! I wear his jersey every game they play, because I respect the way he plays. This is a stupid topic during a college basketball Final 4. Hansbrough deserves college basketball praise, and so does Kevin Love. Anytime you watch a UCLA game they talk about Kevin Love all the time, and he deserves it because he is an excellent Freshman that will be a top five draft pick this summer. All in all, Freeman needs to realize that everytime he sends out a hate article about Hansbrough it just means that something great is about to happen. Freeman, your articles are biased, and your opinions are over the top. In fact, I don't know how you kept your job after your last Hansbrough article.

I agree with most of your message but Kevin Love will not be a top 5 pick this summer, nor any summer. Nor will he end up in the top ten. Maybe late lottery but probably more like mid to late teens.

Freeman get over it all ready and get over yourself. Hansbrough does what he does and he does it well. You're angry over the media hype. Guess what? You're the media.

This is a topic because outside of North Carolina people are turning the channel when final four discussions come up because the whole world is tired of hearing about how great Hansbrough is. You would think the position of forward started when he signed at UNC. He is good, I agree. Also, he is totally surrounded by superior talent, plays no defense and refuses to pass (12 blocks and 32 assist in 38 games). He is not the best player in college basketball but you would never know that if you watched ESPN or CBS.

Hey TooSharp, I understand what you are saying, but spitting out statistics do not paint the whole picture. I watched every UNC game, and his lack of blocks are made up for by the amount of steals he creates and taking away the jumper from the big man on the opposing team. On top of that, he hasn't fouled out of a game all year long, and scores more transition points then any big man in the country. Did I forget to mention that he is a great offensive rebounder, or great second half and clutch player? Obviously he needs to improve on his passing. Sometimes he doesn't seem to have the vision for the open guy and it is frustrating to watch because he doen't get rid of the ball fast enough, but he sees a double team on almost every possession. He is the rock of this team, and his statistics were ridiculous when Lawson was out. He is not the most talented player, but he improves every year. Example: Jamison was a great inside presence in college and lacked assists. Since he has worked at it in the pros, he has become a different player. Hansbrough will work on anything you ask him too. He is very coachable.

So basically, you're claiming to know more than all of these supposed experts, giving them no credit whatsoever. Little pretentious?
I don't think that's why this is a topic. They just made the easy comparison to the most talked about player of the tourney (Hansbrough) to the guy that looked most like him (Love) it seems to me. You have a couple of white guys making headlines in basketball, so they're trying to capitalize on it, as pathetic as it is.

I agree. Focus on the here and now, which is the Final Four. Personally, I think it would be nice if both of them stayed in school and actually got a college degree. I am a Duke fan, which means I hate UNC, but Hansbrough is awesome. He goes 100% every possession, which you don't see very often anymore at any level. He is a leader and will do very well this weekend in the Final Four.

The fact that you watched every game makes you unreliable. You obviously are blinded and unobjective. Also the fact that he hasn't fouled out of a game this year proves my point that he doesn't play d. If you watch 3 min of a NC game you will hear that "he goes harder than anyone else" and psyco t "has a motor that doesn't stop" yet he never fouls anyone and has already set the record for fouls against and free throws taken. It's a joke. His stats are overrated because he plays with more talent around him than any other player in the country and they score 90 a game. Beasley's stats are ridiculous and he still can't be stopped. Scoring 22 of 90 isn't the same as scoring 27 of 78. Along with more steals, rebounds, blocks and assists. The hype machine is in full affect for a white kid at UNC. Plain and simple.
