Guys, if you look at the one article on this site it says that the Bruins will play the Canadiens regardless of who wins tomorrow's game between the Penguins and the Flyers.

So can the Bruins take on a injury plagued team right now?

Penguins win = Penguins 1st place, Montreal 2nd, Boston 7th, Philly 8th

Philly win =Montreal 1st, Penguins 2nd, Philly 7th, Boston 8th.

Thats how it works out.  Kind of confusing at first.  Ironic how these 2 teams r playing each other the last game.

I think the Bruins will lose in 6.

I hope they win in 7.

I pray they win in 4.

Either way, I want some fights, good, close games etc.

for some reason I was under the impression that The Bruins had the tiebreaker over Ottawa. They split the season series 4-4 but one of the Ottawa wins came in overtime. I guess I still have some learning to do when it comes to tiebreaker procedures in the NHL. Oh well...

This seems to happen way more to these two teams than any other it is incredible aligning of all factors for this to happen.  It feels almost like professional wrestling sometimes.

They better beat the Habs ... possibly ....

God Dammit!!!

The one team I didnt want them to get, its just not fair.  They have absolutely no chance of winning, i mean they have lost 10 in a row to them.  Why does it always work out that way.  They should have actually tried to beat the Sabres last night.  I just hope they even win one game.  I'm going to game 1 in boston meaning game 3 overall.  At least put up a fight b's!

Lets pause for a moment for a brief dose of optimism...

-The last game the Bruins had against Montreal was the closest and tightest they played them all season, they lost in a shootout. However that game was the closest to a playoff B's-Habs game all year as alot of things were still in the balance
-Since that Montreal Game the Bruins have picked up a possible 10 of 14 points, here are some more stats from that 7 game stretch
19 goals scored in 7 games thats a 2.71 GSA
12 goals allowed in 7 games (exlcuding SO goals)  thats a 1.71 GAA
-The Bruins are actually scoring goals by beating goal tenders, they are not making all there goals off deflections and rebounds anymore
-Andrew Alberts is back and he is ready to hit, we can out-muscle Montreal and can win alot of Momentum battles, I want a least one fight that the Bruins win every game... maybe this will be the time that we see Zdeno Chara fight Guy Carbonneau.... even if he gets ejected for the series... it would by worth it

Hold on...  As of right now the Bruins are playing the Penguins.  If the Flyers win then the Bruins will play the Canadiens.  These are the only 2 scenarios right now.

Does it really matter who they play?  This is not a Stanley Cup winning team.  This is not any given sunday.

What kind of fan writes his team off before the playoffs even start? Come on now guys. Have a little faith. Just because we couldn't beat them during the season doesn't mean we'll lose to them in the playoffs. Anything can happen. Players go into the playoffs with a different mindset than the regular season games.

If Tim Thomas is on his game right from the get go then I believe the players will feed off of that and play hard. We just need to beat on this small team and get them off their game like the Patriots did to the Rams for their first Super Bowl win. No one thought they could win either.

I'm glad we play the Canadiens first. If they are goping to go anywhere in the playoffs they're going to have to go through them anyway. Why not take the best down first. If they were to win this series then their confidence would be sky high.

Boston_bry, how about backing your team instead of putting them down. What kind of support is that?

Let's go Bruins!  Shock the NHL and win !!
