Now that the season is over, we can focus on next year.

How many wins should we be able to scrap together?

Way too early to tell.  I want to see how things shape up over the next several months.  Namely: (1) will Joey Shaw sign a letter of intent (haven't heard anything since his oral commitment) (2) will Fox be around next year (this one is looking promising); (3) whether Fox gets one or more big men (haven't heard a thing) and if so (4) then who are they, how big are they, and how talented are they.

I'll reserve my predictions (but not my comments) until later.

You are right; we have a lot pending. But we have a lot of promise in our current recruiting class and current players we have on our team.

With an early optimistic pick I went with 20-23. The outlook has changed dramatically since one 7 footer decided to take an early bolt. We will see how well Fox and co. do in the off season filling the middle. But it's nice to know Nevada has their most touted class ever (debateable?) coming in this fall. How quickly can these talented youngsters put it together? When I say youngsters that also goes for JC tranfers playing I-A ball for the first time. That will be the telling part of 08-09.

It's never too early to ask a question. It's all based on opinion and what you truly think.

Rivals.com has posted a VERY preliminary Top 25 for next year: http://collegebasketball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=795213

It is based on a lot of certain NBA bound players returning.  Nevertheless, not surprisingly Nevada is nowhere on the list - not even in the "others mentioned" part.  UNLV is in the others mentioned part.  Nevada would have probably also been one of the others mentioned if McGee was returning.  Oh well.  They will have to play their way into the top 25 next year.
