Thought it was a cool thing to do.  He has never had a negative word come out of his mouth about Kansas.  All he has done is praise their program and fans since he joined our club.  He's a good guy.  I'm sure he's a little envious of Bill Self and what he's done with the Kansas program.  But at the same time, happy for them.

HeelSkinsfan, why would Roy be jealous of Bill Self???  Roy is at his alma mater, and he visits with Dean almost daily, and Dean is the guy Roy emulates.  Roy has been to as many Final Fours as Self and has as many titles as Self, and he is back home in North Carolina where he and his wife are from.  I'm sorry, but I don't understand why Roy would be jealous at all.  I am sure he was jealous at the outcome of the game, but like he said, he didn't have them ready to play.

Also, Roy is a class act.  At the summer camps, Roy tells the kids they can wear two school's shirts.  UNC or Kansas.  He still respects KU and loves it.  However, he bleeds Carolina Blue, just like Larry Brown.  Brown won a title with Kansas, however, he was pulling for the Heels to win cause he played and coached with Coach Smith.  Unfortunately it didn't work out, BUT look out if Tyler, Ty, and Wayne stay.

Personally, I thought it was awesome. Even after the KU fans booed him, he still went to the game and supported his former team. THe other poster was right, never a bad word about KU.

Im pretty sure 'Heel nation didnt care for the Jayhawk on Roy's shirt, but Im also pretty sure they understand.

I think it really showed how much class he has.  I was never a Roy hater after he decided to leave KU and I think that if anyone is, they should realize now how much he still does care for KU basketball.  All of those "Ruck Foy" shirts should be burned.

The cynical side of me says that it was political and the sensitive side said it was a very nice and classy gesture.  As I almost always do, I'm leaning toward the latter.  I'm more interested in the opinion of you gentlemen.  For my part, count me among those that was still very bitter and now can move on....particularly after seeing Roy with that sticker.  Looks like we'll be in the same boat again soon.  I wonder if there are any KU alum out there coaching that can maintain the program at this level?  Apparently we'll need an alum.  Amazing for the 3rd winningest program in the history of the game.

I do not think much of it. Kansas gave him a chance to be a head coach for the frist time and he gave Kansas 15 years of his life. He still loves kansas and that show class. I know that he still loves UNC more but he still loves Kansas and he will always will. I would not think much of it because he still the head coach at UNC and that is where is heart is.

My hat is off to Roy for what he did and he is catching a lot of hell for what he did. I would hope that Bill self would do the same. Cheer for the team that Beat them. I do not cheer UNC but if UNC would have won I would cheer for them because they would have beat my hawks.

He's a classy guy wearing the KU sticker and supporting his former school.  I can definately understand KU fans rooting for UNC if we lost to them during the final four.  I think it's a great move, but he is definately not leaving UNC if anyone thinks that.  He'd be stupid to leave his alma-mater.

I thought it was great...a very "Roy" thing to do.  He always said if it couldn't be UNC, he'd root for KU and I think he meant it.

I sent his admin. assistant a note before the Final Four wishing him luck and that I thought he did a great job at KU for 15 years.  I've never had any ill will toward Coach Williams.  He did what he felt he had to do.  In the 3 years between him staying and him leaving, a lot changed at KU that he didn't like...so he went home.  How can you fault a guy for going home?
