Nobody gets it.  If anyone else in the field had missed all those short putts on sunday, the media would be all over him/them for choking.  Not the great Tiger Woods.  It was just an off day.

He still finished 2nd !!!! By your logic if any else had finished second, the media would be saying what a great tournament they had !!!

Not to mention he played an even par final round while those around him were over.  And somehow Trevor played a "courageous" final round even though it was his worst round of the tourney?  If it had been anyone else it would have been called a choke.  I'm not claiming he did choke, I mean come on he won the masters.  But still, it was tough to watch yesterday, he tried to give it away and there were no takers.

What's intersting about Immelman's "courageous" round is that if Tiger or Snedeker or whomever had overtaken him to win, all that would be remebered is how the pressure got to him and he dunked one into the water on 16.  And if it had been Woods, the media would be singing the, "Everyone fades when Tiger is in the mix," chorus all over again.

To Tiger's credit, at least he learned his lesson about what he says to the media.  Those comments need to be guarded, just in case your A-game is not to be seen on all 4 rounds.  Maybe in Tiger's world of high quality golf, he failed to win and back up his words.  But to say he choked?  I fully disagree.
Usually when one chokes, he is within one or two shots on the leader board or has the lead and fails to execute a critical put or shot, thus giving the tournament away.  Tiger was never that close (look at rounds 1 and 2), but he did miss some earlier easier scoring opportunities that lipped out of the cup.  Hats off to the winner Immelman!!!
