1. Miami Dolphins- Jake Long OT Michigan The Miami Dolphins are in need in both defensive and offensive lines. They can use Chris Long but with the 1st overall pick, I believe the Dolphins will go to OT Jake Long from Michigan because he brings leadership into an offensive line which ranked 26th in Sacks allowed giving up 42. Jake Long allowed a total of one sack last year recorded by Ohio State's DE Vernon Gholston. Jake Long will bring stability to this Dolphins offensive line.

2. St. Louis Rams- Chris Long DE Virginia

The St. Louis Rams could use a little help at DE. Their defense ranked 20th against the run giving up 115.2 rushing ypg. Their front 7 couldn't get to the QB at a consistent basis. They ranked 21st racking up a total of 31 sacks. Chris Long should be automatic help to a very talented front seven.

3. Atlanta Falcons- Matt Ryan QB Boston College

The Atlanta Falcons used a total of three QB's last year. They all had poor campaigns. This year in the NFL Draft, The Atlanta Falcons can go to DT, DE, or they can go with my pick, Matt Ryan QB from Boston College. He brings everything you want from a franchise QB. The only problem is he really is unproven. Many people are calling him "The Wild Card Pick" because you don't know what you're getting with this guy. He should be a good pick and a great QB in the future.

4. Oakland Raiders- Sedrick Ellis DT USC

The Oakland Raiders hold the 4th overall pick in the NFL Draft and are in need of a DT. They lost DT and Future HOF in Warren Sapp. They need a player who can play for the next ten years. Sedrck Ellis should be a Pro Bowler for a very long time. He is from Southern California so you know Al Davis likes the guy. He can play in both defensive schemes. He will be a very good in a 4-3 because he will help guys like DE Derrick Burgess get more open looks.

5. Kansas City Chiefs- Brandon Albert OG/OT Virginia

The Kansas City Chiefs are in need of an offensive linemen. The Chiefs ranked last in the league last year giving up 55 sacks. Brandon Albert should step in right away and play LT for the Chiefs. He will automatically boost an already talented running game anchored by Larry Johnson.

6. New York Jets- Darren McFadden RB Arkansas

The New York Jets need help at RB. They acquired RB Thomas Jones 2 years ago form the Chicago Bears, but didn't perform to his ability. Darren McFadden can step in and have the same impact Adrian Peterson had with Chester Taylor in Minnesota. Thomas Jones could use some help and I think Darren McFadden can carry half of the load and have one of the best running games on the league next year and for years to come.

7. New England Patriots- Vernon Gholston OLB Ohio State

The New England Patriots need help at many positions on defense. With The 7th overall pick, I believe the Patriots go to pass rushing specialist, DE Vernon Gholston from Ohio State. He brings automatic help at OLB and can step right in and play opposite of Mike Vrabel.

8. Baltimore Ravens- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie CB Tennessee State

The Baltimore Ravens biggest need in this year's NFL Draft is QB, but with Matt Ryan already taken, the Ravens believe they can get a legitimate one in the second round. The can also use help in the secondary which went from being ranked 6th in 2006 to 20th in 2007. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has all the tools you need to be a shut down Corner in the league and should get better as his carreer progresses. Oh, and playing with Ed Reed shouldn't hurt.

9. Cincinnati Bengals- Glenn Dorsey DT LSU

The Cincinnati Bengals need help in their defense. They have the 9th overall pick and with it, I believe they go to Glenn Dorsey from LSU. He is explosive and can step right in and help the Bengals defense which ranked 21st against the run in 2007. Glenn Dorsey has only one question mark. Can he stay healthy? That is simply why I have Ellis before Dorsey in my Mock Draft.

10. New Orleans Saints- Leodis McKelvin CB Troy

The New Orleans Saints can use help at CB and LB. They feel like they can still get a guy like J. Leman in later rounds and therefore go to CB Leodis McKelvin from Troy. He is guy who gets it done in the football field. The only concern with me is he doesn't like to stop the run and will avoid contact if it is possible. Other than that he has the tools to become a shut down corner in the NFL.

11. Buffalo Bills- Malcomm Kelly WR Oklahoma

Malcomm Kelly is kind of interesting, he ran a 4.7 in his pro day. I simply don't think he stayed in shape and I believe he is the best WR available in class that is very deep at that position. He must have had been doing something good to beat so many CB's and S's in College. That 4.7 doesn't mean a thing to me come Draft day and I don't think the Buffalo Bills are so worried about it either.

12. Denver Broncos- Ryan Clady OT Boise State

The Denver Broncos need lots of help at OT. They can also use this pick to draft a WR. I don't think they do because their offensive line is in need as they allowed a total of 30 sacks which is  a decent number, but their running game wasn't as physical as it was in 2006 or 2005. Ryan Clady can step in right away and play LT for The Denver Broncos in their zone blocking scheme.

13. Carolina Panthers- Jeff Otah OT Pittsburgh

The Carolina Panthers roster is getting old. They can use help at DE, CB, and OT. Jeff Otah is  the perfect fit. He can play both LT and RT. He will automatically help an old offensive line which allowed 33 sacks in 2007. They didn't have running game last season and Jeff Otah should automatically make them better in that category.

14. Chicago Bears- Rashard Mendenhall RB Illinois

Rashard Mendenhall would have been the top RB in this years NFL Draft, but he only started one year for the Fighting Illini. He is what you look for in a Chicago Bear's RB. He is huge, can run you over and has great speed and agility. He should take over the Bear's backfield in 2008 if that's where the Bears go.

15. Detroit Lions- Jonathan Stewart RB Oregon

The Detroit Lions need help at RB, CB, and S. They most probably will go to Jonathan Stewart after they released RB Kevin Jones in the off-season. Jonathan Stewart is coming off toe surgery but should be ready for the 2008 season and should help Jon Kitna win at least 10 games. Nah I'm just playing, But he will be an upgrade.

16. Arizona Cardinals- Mike Jenkins CB South Florida

The Arizona Cardinals are in need of a RB, and CB. They are looking at Mike Jenkins because he can play both CB and S. If he struggles at CB, The Cardinals should move him to S. Leaving Antrelle Rolle at CB. He is good at stopping the run and should be somewhere in the starting lineup in 2008.

17. Minnesota Vikings- Derrick Harvey DE Florida

The Minnesota Vikings are in serious need of a pure pass rusher somewhere in their defense. They racked up a total of 38 sacks but most of them where coverage sacks. Derrick Harvey can get after the QB and has a none stop motor in the football field.

18. Houston Texans- Aquib Talib CB Kansas

The Houston Texans are in need in CB and S. With Aquib Talib still available, they should take him. He had a great career at Kansas. The only glaring weakness is stopping the run. He lacks the ability of tackling in the goal line. Other than that, I believe he should be a very good player, I just don't ever see him developing into a shut down corner.

19. Philadelphia Eagles- Kenny Phillips S Miami

With Brian Dawkins aging, I believe the Eagles will take Kenny Phillips from Miami with the 19 overall pick. He is great in pass coverage and excels in run support. Kenny Phillips is what you look for in a very weak Safety class.

20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Devin Thomas WR Michigan State

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers can use some help at WR. With Joey Galloway aging, this team can use some help at the position. He has a nose for the ball and should be a good target for Jeff Garcia.

21. Washington Redskins- Limas Sweed WR Texas

The Washington Redskins need help at WR. They have options. They can also use help at S. I think they go to Limas Sweed from Texas because he was the best WR in my Draft board before he got injured and missed most of all season. I think he'll be a steal for the Redskins.

22. Dallas Cowboys- Jamaal Charles RB Texas

The Dallas Cowboys can use help at RB, and with Stewart and Mendenhall gone, they can choose Felix Jones or the Texas bread Jamaal Charles. C'mon. Do the math. Jerry Jones loves the Idea of drafting the Texas star over Felix Jones.

23. Pittsburgh Steelers- Chris Williams OT Vanderbilt

The Pittsburgh Steelers allowed 47 sacks in 2007. They couldn't give Big Ben just another second to throw the football. Its amazing how he still managed to have the season he had. Chris Williams should step in right away and start at LT and offer Ben Roethlisberger some solid protection from his blindside.

24. Tennessee Titans- James Hardy WR Indiana

The Tennessee Titans can use some help at WR. Adding James Hardy would be huge for the Titans and Vince Young. Look for James Hardy to become Vince Young's favorite target if that's where the Titans choose to go to. He has great hands and has real good leaping skills. James Hardy should be a great player for years to come.

25. Seattle Seahawks- Kentwan Balmer DT North Carolina

The Seattle Seahawks can use help at DT and OLB. They really need help at the defensive line. Kentwan Balmer from North Carolina can step into the Seattle defense and give guys like DE Patrick Kerney more open looks. Kentwan Balmer is the only DT left that I would consider potential Pro Bowlers. Look for him to spark the defense.

26. Jacksonville Jaguars- Calais Campbell DE Miami

The Jacksonville Jaguars need help at DE. That's the only weakness I see in their defense. Calais Campbell is a pass rushing specialist who can get after the QB and can get the opposing offensive linemen tired quickly with the techniques he possesses. Calais Campbell is a great DE and should be a Pro Bowl player with the Jaguars if that's were they decide to go.

27. San Diego Chargers- Felix Jones RB Arkansas

The San Diego Chargers are in the position to draft the best players available in the 2008 NFL Draft. They lost Michael Turner and should look to replace him. Felix Jones is a guy who loves to deliver hits while running for huge gains. Kind of like Turner. He should really help LaDainian Tomlinson and The San Diego Chargers offense.

28. Dallas Cowboys- DeSean Jackson WR California

The Dallas Cowboys can also use help at WR. Terrell Owens will not get younger. Neither will Terry Glenn. DeSean Jackson is a guy who has been studying on Jerry Rice and as a matter of fact, Rice has mentored Jackson this off-season preparing him for the Draft and the NFL.

29. San Francisco 49ers- Gosder Cherilus OT Boston College

The San Francisco 49ers are in need at OT. They were tied with the Chiefs in last allowing 55 sacks. They're running game was quite all season and with a little help from Gosder Cherilus, this offensive line should improve.

30. Green Bay Packers- Brandon Flowers CB Virginia Tech

The Green Bay Packers biggest need in the NFL Draft is CB. Both Al Harris and Charles Woodson should be looking at their last couple of years and can use help. Brandon Flowers can be their nickel back and ultimately be their starting CB in the future.

New England Patriots- Pick Forfeited after SpyGate Scandal

31. New York Giants- Keith Rivers OLB USC

The New York Giants are in  need of S and OLB. Keith Rivers is  a guy who can play the pass and stop the run just as good as anybody. He is a great athlete who can play OLB for both a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme. He reminds me of Kamerion Wimbley from The Browns.

First off thank you for taking the effort to do a Mock draft. It is hard work, and takes research and time, and pus your self open fo unwanted criticism.

Seeing as how we are both Chargers fan, I hope you can forgive me for what I am abou to say.

Given the choice of picking up a Starter in Gosder Cherlius who I am praying will be the Chargers pick and a back up RB to LT to who I feel is 2nd round talent Felix Jones, I am going with a OL starter.  The Chargers released Shane Olivea so they havea real hole there.  I would love to have LT and Rivers have Right side strength.

There is also some decent 5th round running backs out there that can back up LT.   A Jalen Parmele out of Toledo or Chauncy Washinton out of USC for instance. Possibly Ryan Torrain out of ArizoniaState. All of them over 215 pounds and fast.

Speaking of running backs, I am puzzled by your placement of Jamaal Charles.

OTHER notes: Glenn Dorsey does not fall to number 9 Darren McFadden does not fall to number 6. If he does I would expect the Cowboys to try to trade up for him.

I have a feeling that Atlanta is not that high on Matt Ryan. I feel they can get McFadden in the first round and use either of their number 2' to pick up Brohm in the second round.  Or maybe use some of their number 2's to trade up for where he might fall.

I have four Wide Recievers rated above Malcomm Kelley.  Maybe a James Hardy out of Indiana or a Limas Sweed they are taller and faster.  Or at least Desean Jackson he runs a 4.31.  I feel you do have the top five WR's out there I just don't like their locations. It is like you almost reversed their order to mine.

Hey teams.. Instead of wasting a pick on a recievere. Get a great possesion reciever who runs precise routes. Offer a 2rd round pick for the Chargers Eric Parker and then pick up something else. WINK

I don't think the Chargers will go with a OT with their first round and only day selection. I can see them going after a RB or a DT/NT...and if that was the case, I would love it if Kentwan Balmer DT North Carolina, Jamaal Charles RB Texas, or Felix Jones RB Arkansas. Those would be the best picks for us as a team and will add the depth that is needed this upcoming year.

Jamal Williams is in his 11 season, and we saw what happened to our running game when he was out, we gave up a record rushing game. And Micheal Turner was the man during the playoffs, and with LT getting into his 8th season, I can see him needing to take a few plays off. RB and DT are most important.

I see the Chargers selecting an OT on the second day, maybe the sixth round.

im sorry, but if gosder cherilus and brandon flowers are still on the board by the time the Chargers pick, then we would be crazy to draft a backup as opposed to potential starters, i really want us to take flowers, i think hes the best corner in the draft, just a little slow
