Born in Buffalo, I attended Buffalo Bison games weakly - so naturally I became familiar with the Indians. However, my father has been a Mets fan for a long time and I chose at a young age to get under his skin and route for the Yanks. What started as a childhood game quickly became a passion. I move to NYC after high school because taking one or two road trips to the Bronx per year wasn't cutting it for me.
Since my grandfather came to NY and followed the Babe, my family is all Yankee. My father became a Yankee fan because of my grandfather and I became a Yankee fan because of my father. I was born into it I guess. My father said he taught me to say "Yankees" at 3. Have no idea if its true. All I know is, since i watched my first game of baseball, at 5, I have been a Yankee fan. 18 years later, I am here.

Being born in Indiana, my options for having a favorite team were open. I was around 13 and started collecting cards. My first pack I opened an 88 Topps wax pack and Don Mattingly was the first card I saw. After turning over to read his stats, I noticed he was from Evansville. I decided that he was to be my favorite player and the Yanks were to be my team. Been a fan ever since.
RYAN I'VE WRITTEN DOWN YOUR NAME AND I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU PLAY, IN THE MEANTIME REMEMBER HOW MUCH OF A THRILL IT WOULD BE FOR YOUR DAD TO SCREAM HOME RUN, HOME RUN IF YOU HIT ONE OUT OF THE PARK.
