The Falcons only headlines are for its deficient players, they are the VA Tech of the NFL, talented team ruined by thug players.  If Flordia State and Miami can somewhat hold it together, VA Tech and the Falcons should be able too as well.  Maybe the Falcons can bring Jerry Glandville back or else go play in the CFL.

So when you say "no one cares about the Falcons" I assume you are speaking for everyone in the whole world? That's just a tad bit over the top isn't it?

I care about the Atlanta Falcons and so do many others.  Many of us, definitely myself included, are very happy to see us shed our thug image and move toward a more proven path in the NFL.  We aren't looking too good right now, but I am very confident we are moving in the right direction.

The only recent "thug" player at VT was Marcus Vick, and he was kicked off the team for his actions.  And Michael Vick doesn't count; he did nothing but good for the university while he was here.

Jesus.

Well I guess that I too dont belong to this planet because I care about the Falcons!  Maybe swinger can take some of that time he is NOT following the Falcons and tell us who he follows (Bengals?) and why he thinks All of the Falcons are thugs.  We have had a lot of good players come though ATL. and many are key community figures (Warrick Dunn) who don't deserve this attack.

Drop dead, you self-righeous jerk.  Some people, myself included, do care about the Falcons.  You should try joining the club; those of us in it can usually spell correctly and use better than 6th grade grammar.

I don't really follow the Falcons---I am a closet Joey Harrington fan though, and an open Warrick Dunn and Jerious Norwood fan--even Roddy White and Michael Jenkins I try to track from time to time---However I only read the article hoping to find mention of my team being in rumors for trying to trade for that #3 pick.

BlackWave---I am a Bengals fan---not the ENTIRE team as of late---but I grew up a Bengals fan and Boomer and Jeff Blake were not Thugs but some of these kids on the team (and formely on the team) are an embarrasment.

I was hoping to read something along the lines of Bengals give up #9 pick and a 3rd rounder for the #3 pick.....That doesn't sound too bad for either side does it?  Bengals can pick Dorsey or Long while the Falcons may be able to pick Ryan if he falls past Ravens and Cheifs OR fill another hole on the O-line,LB, or even CB as well as have an extra 3rd rounder for maybe another O-line or QB?

Yeah that Warrick Dunn, getting single mothers into homes to raise their kids in a nice environment.  Dunn sure was a thug.  I'm sure Jason Elam and Joey Harrington are going to start robbing banks together soon.  Get a clue, you're just mad because Atlanta is going to have a better season than your 49ers.  We have one of the best owners in the league.  We'll get back to the big time soon enough.  Sooner than your precious 49ers can hope for that's for sure.

GO Falcons!!!

Man you hating the Falcons should be kept to a minimum around here, because we have hear it all before and there is no point because you know we are going to fire back at you. The Falcons are my team and I care more about them now than I did 3 years ago. We will soon be on top of the NFC if we can get it together then; then what are you going to have to say. You should just keep your rude thoughts to yourself and keep this on a mature leave hear because nobody wants to read it.

There are many of us who care about the Falcons and follow the team. He is just another brainless idiot creating a meaningless post because he has nothing better to talk about. 0's all around for this guy don't ya think?

Really?

I could swear that the only thug on this team was Vick and most of the headlines were of him. DeAngelo Hall was not a thug, he only wanted a bigger contract. What are you taking a shot at?

The Falcons have enough quality, good character players. What about John Abraham, Keith Brooking, Lawyer Milloy, Michael Turner, Roddy White? This team has not had any police issues besides the Vick incidents?

So explain to me. What thugs are you talking about?

I'll give a little insight from someone who has been a fan for the past 30+ years,  The Falcons suffer from long term apathy.  It is not about the flashy draft pick or free agent signing.  It is about building a winner and Arthur finally did right by getting a true talent evaluator in Thomas Dimitroff.  It will take years to turn this team into a consistent winner.  One season or two in a blue moon will not cut it.  That will only lead to more apathy.  But, put a quality product on the field for the next 5+ years in a row and the fans will return.  Winning will solve all their problems.  I do and have always cared about the Falcons, it's just too bad the Falcons never cared for themselves.  BTW, Glanville does not have a "d".

I'm going to agree with everyone else on the board, that was a cheap shot with no basis, not to mention it had nothing to do with the article. The only "thug" player on the Falcons recently was Michael Vick.  They are in a rebuilding phase right now, every team goes through them, why feel the need to blast them?

I'm not a fan of the Falcons, but you have to give them credit for cutting ties with Vick right away, getting rid of Hall when his contract demands went nuts -- and for dealing with a head coach that quit during the season. That's tough!

There are plenty of fans that love the Falcons, so get off the high horse.

The Falcons need to keep the pick if Dorsey is still there, he would be by far the best pick for them.  If not, I think they should shop around for trade offers.  They better not reach for Ryan.

It is funny that you refer to the Falcons as the Va Tech of the NFL.  This being since their two "thug" players that have caused them so much grief (Vick and DeAngelo Hall) both graduated from Tech.  Here is hoping Atlanta learns their lesson and does not draft and of the Hokies this year.
