Derek Kellogg was my first choice to replace Travis Ford. Kellogg is a UMass alum, played for John Calipari and has been coaching with him for six years. He is a good recruiter and was named a top 10 assistant coach by Rivals.com. Memphis and UMass played a similar offensive system and so the transition should be smooth. I would guess that Kellogg and UMass are on the same page with contract terms given his connections with the school. This is a great choice for UMass and I expect them to continue the improvement that Ford started.

What this go down as one of the all time great hires.
No kidding.
I just hope he can lean early the difference between passion for your tea, and driving them into the ground to get those goals reached.
I wish him all the luck.
