I'm ready for another exciting Jayhawk football season. I think we have a pretty good chance of winning the Big 12 title this year. Any predictions on how well KU will do this season?

Our defense is definitely top notch, the question really is the loss of both of our tackles and the impact that will have on our offense. I am somewhat worried about this as losing both tackles is a LOT bigger deal than some might realize. Combining that with a 10 times harder schedule than last year and I have somewhat tempered expectations.
Saying that, KU will be a good team and will win a lot of games, which is obviouslly usually a great outcome for KU. I think we will finish around 8-4 or hopefully 9-3. I'm not seeing victory over OU, and then we have tough games against UT, MU, T-Tech (who is predicted to be a top 15 team) and at NU (who will be a lot better this year). In addition, at South Florida. That is five tough games there.....hopefully we can go 3-2 and end up 10-2 overall, but that might be really tough. That is why I"m thinking 9-3 or maybe even 8-4, seriously.
I think we are actually set up to have a better 2009 then we are 2008 to be honest....Reesing will be a senior and our D has enough youth that they will still be around.....

JayhawkFN, you are underestimating how good KU will be in 2008. The will win at least 10 games this season and play for the Big 12 title. I don't think Kansas is ready to win in Norman yet. However, that is KU's only really difficult road game. USF is good, but the Big East will be down this year. Our other road games are at Nebraska, Iowa State, and Missouri even though KU will have home field advantage. Texas is the only team coming into Lawrence that can beat Kansas, but KU almost upset Texas four years ago the last time they came to Lawrence. Texas Tech may be projected as a top 15 but Kansas is a Top 10 team and I will take a top 10 team over a top15 team any time. The Big 12 title game will be Kansas and Oklahoma. I don't think Kansas is ready to win the Big 12 this year, but they will win it in 2009.

Few teams are ready to win IN Norman.
I mean, even the Longhorns are hard pressed to come out of Norman with a W.

Wow this statement cracks me up. You're going to call the NU game a home game in Lincoln and home field advantage? That's funny. And the Missouri game is in KC supposedly a neutral field and if I remember correctly there were more MU fans in that stadium that night than KU fans.
So put down the trophy polish that you have been sniffing and come to some senses. Do you have a chance to win? Yes. But to call it a home game thats pretty funny. When was the last time you won in Lincoln by the way? Thats right 1961 when you won 28-6.

Way to misread a post.
He was saying KU will have home field advantage in the MU game only.
You sure must have been drinking a lot at the game at Arrowhead cause you were obviously seeing double if you think MU had more fans there.

Sorry don't drink nor do drugs. Just a sight since I was there. But anywho we all know who won that game also. Kansas will have at least two losses this year. Oklahoma and Texas. You guys somehow managed not to play them last year but you get to play them both this year.

Bugaha,
The more you speak, the more you show you know very little about college football.
The conference schedule is made by the conference, not the individual teams. So "us guys" somehow managed to only play the schedule given to us by the Big XII conference.
The less you speak, the smarter you will look.
