Av's in four...umm...no way that's happening.  There is no way either team is sweeping the other, it's just not that one sided.  Avalanche get the edge in goaltending, however Detroit owns everything else.  I can only pray that we see some goalie v. goalie fights like we did back when Osgood and Roy got into it.  THis is going to be one of the best series' in a whiile I say wings in 6 or 7. GO WINGS!

Instead of rating me with a 1, could care less, someone please tell me how the Av's are going to win these series. Two words: Jose Theodore.  If he continues his stellar play the Avs will win the series.

He was a one series wonder. The Wings are going to tear him and the Avs apart.

Actually Theodore has been playing great all year. All teams have injuries but the Avs had Sakic, Smyth, Statsny out for approx 40 games each. They are all healthy now. The Red Wings played great early then kind of fizzled over the next couple months.

The difference will be Joe Sakic the best clutch player in the NHL. Maybe in NHL history. Detroit has nobody like him. That will be the difference. Avs in 6.

Avs fan here...I think that Detriot is the better team but i don't think that always matters.  Should be fun to watch, I am taking the Avs in 7 because of the presidents cup curse.  Osgood vs Theodore, hopefully Theo is taking his Propecia again we might need it.

Thank you for that... That could possibly be the funniest thing Ive heard this season!!! Avs in 4..... You have a better chance of winning the Bronze Medal in Womens Gymnastics than winning this series.......

Not to Mention the Red Wings' defense has been stingy lately....

I am a Ducks fan first and Avs fan second as I went to school at Colorado State, so I had to settle for Avs games since I couldn't be at home but I love them and had season seats.  When you look at it, like everyone else has said, the series hinges on Theodore.  If he is phenomenal, Avs have a chance, but if he is just good then they don't.

I say Wings in 6 unfortunately because the styles are too similar and the team with the talent always wins those series in the long run.  Detroit has too much offense over four lines, but their defense can be beat.  Being stingy against Nashville isn't something to brag about since Nashville doesn't have the scoring of other teams.  I also think Detroit wins the cup and it kills me to say that.  Detroit will only have to face one of the four physical teams in Calgary, San Jose, Anaheim and Dallas and therefor they wont be worn down like they were last year.  Hopefully someone takes em down and hopefully its the Avs.

This rivalry has been dead as the officials and league have stopped it, but the playoffs could rekindle that and I hope it does.  Go Avs!

Ellis' play was insane as well. I doubt Jose played any better for Colorado, the Wild just didn't have the offensive touch that the Wings have.

I look forward to the series start. I am very jealous as my sister and her husband will be sitting 11 rows behind the bench tonight, while I sit and watch the came in San Diego.
