For OT: I can see the Chargers going after Sam Baker, USC or Tony Hills, Texas...
For DT: Kentwan Balmer, North Carolina or Marcus Harrison, Ark
RB: Reshard Mendenhall is my pick, cause we really need a backup for LT or even Felix Jones is the other if Reshard is gone
or last, the best player available, but i think will have one of these six options by then

Just as an FYI....
Sporting News.com had Cason going to us at #27 in their last Mock Draft. I believe the update happened on 4/23, and their pick changed from Jonathan Stewart to Cason. Nice prognostication, eh?
As a footnote, I'm stunned at how early Stewart and Cherilus went in this draft. I thought after Dallas went with Felix Jones, we would have a legitimate shot at Mendenhall, but...oh well, right?
What do you think?

i actually love this pick, at first i was happy but not thrilled, i wanted brandon flowers or kenny phillips, but after seeing this guys stats, reading about him, and watching highlights, i think this guy may be the best corner in the draft, and he can return punts, which Darren Sproles is not great at. Plus this guy has great character and is a team leaders, so i really like this pick.
go Chargers! 2008 superbowl champs(hopefully)!

Im very happy with this pick. Antoine Cason is an all around great corner in every skill needed to play the position. The guy won the Jim horpe Award this year, thats the award that goes to the best college defensive back, THE BEST DEFENSIVE BACK IN COLLEGE!!! The production from this kid is amazing 15 ints, 253 tackles, 32 deflected passes, 14 stops for a loss, 5 forced fumbles. None of the other corners in the draft can compete with those stats. And this is with teams not really targeting him much after his freshmen year because they know the kid shuts it down. Started every single game doesnt have a 4.3 40 time(ran a 4.5) but plays fast can actually tackle, diagnose plays, and I think 6'0ft 191lbs. is better than decent size. Check him out, he has 1 highlight video on youtube.
Now if we can pick up Red Bryant I will be very impressed with A.J. once again

Can't really be mad at drafting the best DB in the country from last year *shrug* I'm actually very surprised he wasn't snatched up beforehand. I watched this kid play on numerous occasions and i couldn't help but notice how little i saw of him, seeing as how nobody ever threw to his side. Which is a good sign =D. GO BOLTS!

Seeing Rashard Mendenhall slipping down just with in few picks of the Chargers, things where looking good until the Steelers nabbed him at #23. Then when it came time for the Bolts and seeing that they selected Antoine Cason, another great pick by AJ. Only got see Cason once in his only visit Provo against the Cougars and the Kid was amazing.
Keep 'em coming AJ in the later rounds.

I wanted mednehall so bad, but i hate branden flowers so i am delighted with the pick of cason. My cousins go to arizona and they tell me hes a stud in real life. I'll take their word of it for it, just to make me feel even better about the pick haha. Go Bolts!!

as a fellow wildcat I'm glad he went to a team that I like watching. He was criticized for being one of the slower backs in the draft but he's a playmaker. He won the Thorpe award which says a lot but he also graduated in the top of his class and started a cancer foundation while he was in college. Not only will he have an impact on the field but he is a pure class act off the field. The character Cason will bring to SD is remarkable. Great pick, hoping for even better results.
(i guess its unrealistic to have ALL my college players get drafted by the Titans)

So far the Chargers have picked up 2 CB's and 2 RB's. Not sure if they've picked up anyone else or not.
Surprised they haven't added depth to the O-line? What are the odds they re-sign Shane Olivea to a lower salary? Has that bridge been burned?

The Chargers finally draft an O-Line in Corey Clark a 6'5", 315 lb. from Texas A&M. Overall the Bolts had another good draft.

If Cason can adjust to the speed of the NFL, especially the slot receiver spot which are usually smaller, faster players, he could end up being another Cromartie/Merriman steal in the first round. 40 yard dash times are severely overrated, but his 4.53 speed will often be matched against 4.3 slot receivers. He will have to rely on physical play and great technique becaue he does not possess the recovery speed to make up for many mistakes.

i would've loved to see the Chargers pick a DT/NT. I would rate the Chargers draft this year a B- or a B overall. They covered most of their needs, but I didn't think that we needed to draft 2 CBs. I mean isn't that why we drafted Oliver last year in the suppliment draft?...I think that second CB should've been the DT/NT or OT.....Jamal is getting older AJ and needs someone good to back him up and I am not too sure about the the second string behind him right now.
