Flacco over Henne?!?!?!

I love my Michigan football as much as the next fan.  But.......

The odds of breaking school records increases when you have four years to chip away at them. 

When you look back, Henne really didn't improve all that much from start to finish.  He had too many passes batted down at the line.  He took too many sacks.  Not that I don't think he can't make it in the NFL, and I know we've had a share good NFL QB's,  but looking good playing Big Ten and directional Michigan teams is different than playing against the best in the NFL. 

By your account, Desmond Howard should have been better than Jerry Rice because he went to a Big D-1 School

Or Gino Toretta should have been a better NFL QB than Daunte Culpepper or Randall Cunningham.

Flacco has a TREMENDOUS arm and can throw the ball sideline to sideline. Now he just needs some coaching.

Personally I am glad that Henne went to Miami. I believe that he will have a much better chance at playing time and becoming their franchise QB. Parcels is about to bring the Miami Dolphins back to greatness.

Im not a huge Bill Parcels fan but you have to admit he knows how to rebuild football programs.  It says alot about Henne that Parcels took him 3rd pick in the draft.  Especially when Miami already has 3 QB's on their roster and one of them is a second year man.  Parcels likes Henne's toughness and character. 

Chad will get his opportunities in the NFL.

I'm no Ravens fan, so I don't care too much about how Flacco does.  But I did see him play in person against Towson University, and I immediately thought "this guy looks like an NFL player."  Deleware isn't that much of a rough considering they went to the FCS championship game and lost to App State.  Not to mention the fact that a few Division I teams wanted him out of high school (he originally went to Pitt).

I just think the more important argument isn't who they took, but when.  I think they would have had the same two QBs available in the second round.  Maybe a trade up to the first few picks of the second round or at least to the end of the first round.  That would save the Ravens money, allow them to take someone else at 18, or at the very least save them some embarrassment if Flacco becomes Kyle Boller 2.0.
