What is this guys problem? A few hacks a Fleury and then a spear after the game was over. A slash on Crosby's wrists (Anyone remember Adam Graves on Mario). This guy can't win and his team can't beat the Pens so he has to resort to trying to injure guys with his stick.
The worst part is he has to use the stick because he's too much of a pu$$y to use his fists. I have to beleive Crosby is about the only person on the team he would drop the gloves with because he knows he'd get killed by Malone, Ruutu, Gill, Laraque, Whitney, etc.
I don't mind an agitator, I love what Ruutu brings to the Pens and Avery brings the same to the Rangers with more offensive power than Ruutu, but Ruutu likes to agitate with his mouth and his fists. Avery wont get in the face of anyone bigger than him, and he should consider himself lucky that the Refs got in between him and Hal Gill (with Laraque on the way).
For those who think Avery is a tough guy - wait until game 3. As soon as Avery hits the ice so will Laraque and a national TV audience will get to see Sean Avery cower in fear. If this guy wants to be tough and be an agitator - line somebody up and hit them cleanly or drop the gloves - but don't resort to PU$$YNESS and start hacking with your stick.
you forgot Ruutu likes to agitate with his stick to....putting it in rosivals face...so im guessing it would be a good fight since they both use their sticks..puss vs. puss
He landed 30 punches and probably took about 20 to his own face. I don't think anyone would consider Darcy Tucker a puss either. He's been kicking the $hit out of people for more than 10 years now.
You can call Sean Avery the dirtiest player in the league; but to say he's a pu$$y is far from the truth. He's a small guy that takes a beating from everyone and he keeps getting back up for more.
Every team has a dirty player like Sean Avery, the exception is Avery is alot smaller than the other pests in the league and he actually has some skill.
He is interning at Vogue magazine, he won't fight anyone, he takes cheap shots but never lines a guy up for a solid hit, he slashes and spears with his stick, he dates an Olsen twin, etc.
Did you see Whitney kick the snot out of Wade Redden when he came after Crosby? I can only imagine a repeat performance if Avery wanted to go with Whitney.

Avery is like a fat kid on the playground. He only picks on the kids that are smaller than him (insert Marc Andre-Fleury) and weaker than him.
I don't expect him to drop 'em with Laraque, but he won't even fight Ruutu or Brooks Orpik who are both comperable in size.
I guess he doesn't want to mess up that face that got him an Olsen twin and an internship at a womens fashion magazine.
Everyone Avery has ever fought is bigger than him. And actually Avery controlled teh fight against tucker. But thats not the point, the point you made was Avery is a pu$$y. Some else posted something about Ruttu, and you said Ruttu wasn't a pu$$y because he fought tucker. Well Avery fought Tucker too, and Avery doesn't shy away from contact either.
I don't like Avery, I don't like Ruttu, I don't like anyone that plays the way they do. But when you compare Avery to all the other dirty players, Avery is one of the smallest and he has talent compared to all the other dirt bags.
I am a Rangers fan and sometimes I get annoyed by Avery's antics, but you cannot call him puss. As a matter of fact, he has recently gone toe to toe with Malone... and knocked him out. See link.
