In my book, that cements UConn as the pre-season favorite to win the Big East.

good chance I would say,
they got a verbal from a 7'1" Nigerian Okwandu as well the pair could be scary.
of course they come and go as AJ price does ... to the other thread #1?: as long as psycho T returns everyone will rank them #1 preseason

Yeah i personally believe that Uconn and Unc will be the top two in the preseason with Duke number 3.
It really all depends if ellington and lawson hire agents and move on or come back to Unc.
I wouldn't mind some more DUKE-UCONN rivalry. Great games when in 99 when Uconn beat Duke in the finals and then 04 i believe when Uconn beat Duke in the Nat semis on their way to crushing GTech in the finals.
Then again I'm a Duke fan so I want UCONN to suck... lol

I am not a Pittsburgh fan, but a Syracuse fan!! With that said, do not forget about Pittsburgh... they will be loaded as well as Louisville, Syracuse, and Georgetown.

Does this hurt the recruitment of Ater Majok
UCONN already has alot of big men
They have some of the best big men in the country already

unless of course san diego is on there schedule..but seriously, there def going to be in the top but i wouldnt say that makes them the def big east favorite...West Virginia is returning many and will be very good if alexander stays, Notre Dame is returning all their good players minus kurz, Pitt will be good, as with 'Cuse...So there in the top half, but the big east is going to be VERY strong next year

I would certainly be surprised if UConn failed to win the Big East. Overall #1? No way.. not yet at least. They now have the talent and experience; but chemistry and the health of AJ Price are the two of the biggest concerns.

Gotta agree. UConn will be top seed in the BE. I begrudgingly admire Calhoun. Nobody outside of Chapel Hill reloads with talent like that guy. The number of guys he has put in the NBA is ridiculous. And he gets no love from the media. In the last 10 years, UConn has 2 national championships. Duke has 1. But how many commercials and endorsements does Calhoun get? Zero. Because Coach L has them all. Now, as a Gtown fan, I hope Calhoun gets hit by a fallen satellite and crushed into paste. But I gotta give it to him. Amazing that nobody has bid him away from Storrs.

yea i agree, a big problem with the last two UConn teams is that they have had no big man backup. as soon as thabeet got in trouble we either had to go to three guards or bring in edwards, and as hard as he tries, just does not have the skills that thabeet does.
now imagine this
thabeet
price

robinson
