	I think the O'connell from SD was taken a round too early, but he's good. As a SDSU season ticket holder I've seen him play for the last few years. He can run (2nd fastest 40 time at the combine for QB's) and more importantly can throw....he sat behind a crappy o-line all through college with no RB and ok WR's........makes you wonder how long Cassel will be around

	Cassel is going into the final year of his contract...he'll sign elsewhere for a chance at a starting job. He won't get it here...I hope e trade him for draft picks next year.

	Yeah, Cassel isn't long for the Patriots soon he'll be with someone else. I also hope we trade him for draft picks. I think he has the makings to be a good QB, he just needs time on the field. Hopefully everything works out for him.

	I was hoping that Guittierez was replacing him last year. LOL :) Never been a fan of his and have always questioned his ability to produce if Brady got hurt. Hopefully we'll throw him out there in pre-season, make him look good, and get something out of him before the deadline.

	Yeah, but then again, we all questioned his ability to play if Brady got injured because he never played! If he gets time on the field with a team he can work with, I think he can accomplish great things...

	Cassel hasn't played any ball. Who's going to sign him, let alone to start. He didnt even play ball in college. He's not even to the level that Matt Schaub was before he got signed with Houston. I dont see where anyone will give us a draft pick for him. Not even a 7th. If you remember the game where he did play he got 2 plays in and then got yanked out and Brady went back in. Thats not a very big boost of confidence. He needs to bring it or he's doomed to a backup role forever.

	On draft day I actually posted similar thoughts on another thread. Last year it seemed like the Patriots were pretty high on Matt Gutierrez-- in fact, if they didn't think he would be any more than a #3 QB, they just would have kept Testaverde when they broke camp. Don't get me wrong-- I think the Patriots tooka good risk in bringign Matt C
