You have to admit this does not look good!, 1. He admitted to having this type of Gun!, 2. He said it was at his home, and they found it at his car wash. 3. Its not like this was 38 special used all over this country this was a Belgin weapon that was custom made  and the ballistics test matched his weapon. However the weird part so far is the so called victim did not ID anyone. There is more to this story and it all hinges on someone filing charges.

Let's face it.  People rush to judgement because all too often, especially with high profile athletes, the rumors end up being true.   Our society sees headlines constantly about some millionare athlete acting like an idiot, commiting atrocities, harming themselves or others.

Does the media jump to conclusions? Sure.   Are we obessesed with stardom and hanging on every word the papparatzi throws our way.  Many people do.   Are we sick of seing headlines about spoiled millionares behaving badly?  Absolutely.

Personally, the rport on Harrison surprised me and I hope it turns out to be false, just because I liked him as a football player.   Do I have any clue on who the man is and how he carries himself off the field.  Absolutely not.

Let's hope it proves to be wrong.

THANK you wasteone!!!  Someone saying we always assume the worst simply is someone who cannot look at the evidence.  A Belgian Custom Made weapon was used to fire this bullet, Marvin Harrison owns such a weapon, AND the same type of weapon was found at guess who's car wash??  Marvin Harrison.  That is a TON of evidence.  All the police need to do is do ballistics to see if that bullet was fired by that gun, and WHAM Harrison will be arrested.

HOWEVER, I would guarantee the reason the "victim" has not I.D.'ed anyone is cause he is wanting a PAYOFF.  If Marvin or his lackeys pay this guy off then suddenly his memory becomes foggy and sight is bad.  So, the state has NO I.D.

I haven't heard anthing terribly negative about Marvin yet. I'll give you the media does go over board reporting the story to nausea which isn't a great thing. But gossip and scuttlebut certianly isn't new to human nature. Just like so-called unbelievable crimes of today were the same crimes being commited 100 years ago. Now we have the media to tell us how bad it is over and over.

What I'm tired of hearing is how our country is going down the drain. It seems if the media repeats this thought and focuses on negative stories enough many people tend to believe it's true.

I don't have much opinion about Marvin accept  I tend to believe him if he said he didn't shoot his gun. He's a proven to be high character guy in and out of football.  If any says anyone says different they probably know nothing about him.

I had never heard the story of Harrison attacking 3 boys. Did he use ninja hands on them too? I don't know whether or not he did this, but I won't be surprised if it turns out that he did. Disappointed maybe, but not surprised. It happens too frequently to be surprised.

We assume the worst because we assume media reports to be the truth.

This doesn't look good for Marvin Harrison. Had an altercation at his bar. Followed the person he had an altercation with out of the bar. Then shots were fired. Two people got shot... one in the hand (the person he got into an altercation with), the other in the shoulder. (reported on ESPN) One person says that Marvin was the shooter. (reported on ESPN) The gun involved belonged to Harrison. Rare gun.

Assuming that's the truth, then Marvin is probably guilty.

Somebody else said this on a thread recently about Roger Clemens. Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, but not in the court of public opinion.

Let's face it, when stories like this happen, more often that not they are what happened.

Clemens is a cheater... (pedophile), and people wanted to defend him. Then John Daly's ex-wife said she had an affair with Clemens, and Brutus "the Barber" Beefcake's wife (ex?) said Clemens made a pass at her. Doesn't look good for Clemens.

And this doesn't look good for Harrison.

Tank Johnson, Pacman Jones, Chris Henry, Marvin Harrison... who knew?

I certainly wasn't there, but hearing the reports and the evidence, it's probably safe to assume he is guilty. We'll see what happens. Just remember, the Colts don't like players with character "issues"... this could be the end of Harrison with the Colts. At the very least, he will be suspended for a minimum of 4 games if this is the truth, and he doesn't serve any jailtime from this incident.

Again, we'll see what happens... but it's probably foolish to defend him right now.
