Nice job, you just copy and pasted what some expert said...shows you are smart enough to work a mouse on a computer.

Even with all that said, you have to face the facts that the AFC South is over rated.  I predict all of the AFC teams will do 3-1 against the AFC south.  You want to know that one loss?  It's to the Colts.  Because the Jaguars and Titans are overrated with rushing QBs.  Ask them to throw and they can't.  The only team from the AFC South that is a sure bet are the Colts.

Predictions for the playoffs in the AFC

Seeds

#1 Colts

#2 Patriots

#3 Chargers

#4 Steelers

#5 Chiefs

#6 maybe the Jets?

I certainly do hope most of the teams in the league write off the Ravens defense as quickly as you do, that would be fantastic for us in Baltimore

Make no mistake about it I am not writing them off by any stretch, but to assume that defense is anything but a shadow of its former self would be a Joke. Thing is that defense has severe psychological issues.

The 2nd ranked rushing defense was a deceptive stat for 2 reasons. Teams where able to easily defeat the Ravens with the pass, this was a defense that ranked 22nd in scoring, and that was with only having to play 6 winning teams last season. Inspite of that they managed to get beat by a 20 point average in 6 games last season~!! Go figure...

Baltimore defensive epitomizes the reality of a unit that went through the motions of play for a paycheck for 15 games last season, given the top shelf performance we seen by them against the Patriots which had the entire NFL fan base in awe of the dominating performance that actually won them the game had not their HC made the blunderous time out call that took the wind out of their sails as the Patriots wound up sailing off to victory.

Tony did you watch any football last year or did you just get the highlights?

The Steelers are the same team as the Jaguars Run first pass second, the difference is the Steelers lost three times to the Jaguars.

The Chiefs are in disaray and will not even be considered a playoff contender for another year or two. Then you say the Jets, you have to be kinding me, they have no true QB and a rushing game that is non-exisistent so how do you figure. Try Bills since the have both a QB that is coming into his own and a running game that is getting some momentum.

Then you say the Patriots will be the number 2 seed when they lost almost there entire Defense in the offseason and those that are left are either over the hill or rookie.

The Colts do not have the team that they had last year, they may even win the AFC South but with the teams beneath them (Jags, Titans and Texans) the #1 seed will not be a possiblity this year

The Chargers have a Head Coach by the name of Norn Turner that had the same situation in Washington D.C. that nearly ran that franchise into the ground for life and only after 4 Head Coaches has the franchise started to come to life.

So tell me who told you to write these picks or is this the wisdom of your own.

I just copy and paste eh? So Me doing all the research that I do while finding all these articles that I post in this thread so as to keep it alive long enough for people to post has elluded you...

I for instance did not copy and paste for instance the reality that the Ravens have only played 6 teams with a winning record last season while have their defense allow 6 games where they gave up over 20 points on average.

These articles are just the road I take to come to my conclusions... There is nothing wrong with posting them that is unless you can;t stand what the research done by some expert reveals.

"The 2nd ranked rushing defense was a deceptive stat for 2 reasons. Teams where able to easily defeat the Ravens with the pass, this was a defense that ranked 22nd in scoring, and that was with only having to play 6 winning teams last season"

This would back to what I had said before about starting 4 different backup cornerbacks last season instead of having 2 healthy ProBowlers.  I dont like to use injuries for an excuse because they are part of the game.  However, to make a point, the Ravens had more games missed by injury than any other team in the league. Some of those that missed games (on the defense only) include Ray Lewis, Trevor Pryce, Samari Rolle, and Chris McAlister.  So, again, to say that defense is a shell of its former self is not giving credit to the talent still on that roster which, when healthy, will play as they did against the Patriots and as they did in 2006.  If by saying "shell of their former selves" in reference to 2000....well, that was statistically the best defense in the history of the league, so to compare any defense to that is unfair.

And I am not trying to say they are #1 in the league anymore.....but what I am saying is that if the Ravens have a resurgence on the defensive side of the ball this year, dont say I didnt tell you so....i wouldnt sleep on them

Two problems with you rationale. First, you are obviously a homer and really don't want to hear others opinions. Second, I am basing my opinions on how I think teams will do in 2008/2009 and not how they did last year.

My point simply was the NFC East with the
