I can't wait for the game between the Colts and Bears. Right now I live in Indiana, and am a die hard Colts fan, but I will be moving to Illinois at the beginning of the next school year. I cannot wait tell the Colts demolish the Bears and I can wear a Colts jersey the next day. It will be great.

Of course. However, even though it is the Bears, you can't take any NFL victory for granted. Besides, I am sure the Bears will have a certain Super Bowl loss in mind as motivation for this one.

Does anyone know how good their defense is supposed to be this season?
I fully expect them to be Top-5 again. There have been no losses on the defense as all 11 starters will be back this year. On top of that we have added depth at DE in Marcus Howard and hopefully Curtis Johnson gets to be this years "diamond in the rough".
Another interesting topic is Dom Rhodes. I would have bet the farm that the Colts would have never offered him back but they have. I'm still on the Kenton Keith fan bus but dude if Dom comes back your history. They will want a guy who was a major contributor to the Colts Superbowl ran and one who knows the system in and out over someone who has shown "flashes" of potential. Joseph Addai, Dominic Rhodes, and Mike Hart could be one helluva RB trio. If its the right price I'd be all arms opened for the return of Rhodes.
Not to beat a dead horse, but I have been thinking about the Harrison situation on the theory that if ANYTHING and I mean ANYTHING that could hinder or cause him a quarter or even a years worth of play, he says F U and retires. The man is 35, and losing a full year at 35 is nothing like losing a full year at 25. Marvin has nothing else to prove to ANYONE. Please do not take this as a "your pushing Marvin out" speech because it isn't. Like I said its just a theory to what Marvin may be thinking at his age of 35 and with the issues at hand. I want to see Marvin go out in glory with the 2nd ring, but like I said if ANYTHING hinders his playing time this year (outside of his injury) I have the belief that he hangs the cleats up. It will be a very sad day in my household, I know.

i thought he was talking about the Bears defense...they should be top 5 as well if they decide to pay urlacher. without urlacher they will go downhill pretty fast...the other players they have are great as well (briggs, harris, their corners, Mike Brown, etc.), and we are playing them at the beginning of the season which means that they will all be healthy, something pretty rare for them.
still, they have one of the worst offenses in the nfl. they have no QB, and now have no WR to go with them. a bad O-line and a bust of a top 5 draft pick RB. their TE's are pretty good i guess.

I can't wait for our opening game. Besides the fact that it means football is back (thank God), its a Prime Time game at our "brand-spanking new" Stadium. Man its gonna look so awesome when NBC shoots it from all those aerial angles, plus you know they'll have the top open, unless it's raining, but hell they should leave it open even then, so we beat the Bears twice in the rain. Which brings me to another reason, the Bears. I live in Fort Wayne, where "the Bears" are spiteful and looking for revenge, exclaiming "The season will be sweeter after beating the Colts in week 1 in our new home." Yeah right. The Colts are gonna make another run at 7-0 to start off the season and it couldn't satrt soonm enough. God i love football!!

Our record in September is Spectular I dont see any reason for this to change
Most of the starters back, mixed in with a few elite rookies
