Do the Jets run a lot of man coverage? I feel like I should know this. The beef on this guy is that he isn't that good in man coverage.

A lot of people say he'll be a safety.  I can see Mangini going into a zone coverage if we don't have the talent on 1 side to go man on man.  Revis will still go man on man I think.  Mangini is a defensive guru he'll find a way to make underachieving CB's work.

The safety opposite Kerry Rhodes was not a huge need to fill in this draft but I could definatley agree that the Jets needed to upgrade there.  If he ends up outplaying Eric Smith and Elam then I think hes a fine option at safety...but who is our second corner?  Like you said BIGTIME, were going to have to roll a lot of zones and safety help to the side opposite Darrelle Revis.

Dwight Lowery is going to be our nickel back this year and then we will see what he can do.  He looks like he has the tallent but not great speed.  Many of our CB are not back this year so we needed the extra help at CB.

Check out the highlights of the Hawaii vs. San Joes State game, Lowery played great and was a key factor in the game.

Lowery might make an impact you never know, I still think we should pursue Lito Sheppard.

Next we should cut Barrett, then i hope Lowery can prove himself better in man to man coverage, then he could eventually start (in 2008) opposite of Revis. Then let Elam and Eric Smith fight out the job for Safety beside Kerry Rhodes.

I kind of think we should even cut Bubba Franks and Jesse Chatman, even if it does cost us about 2.5M in dead money for 2008. But we should let guy like RB Danny Woodhead and a TE duo featuring Chris Baker and
