Lets keep this going all season. Talk about the game here and let us know what you think.

So the Nationals are now 3-0 after an awesome outing from Redding.

I was getting nervous in the bottom of the 8th when Redding gave up a walk, but it seemed destined for us to win, because "rally killer" Feliz hit into what would have been a double play had the bat not broken. And the next guy hit the ball which took a nice bounce off Zmans glove right to Guzman.

Ayala took care of business as did Rausch... and finally a starter got a W.

Lets go for the sweep.

Redding gave us a great outing. That's where you start. He did well and the bullpen behind him was solid. With Ayala, Rauch, Cordero, and Colome, the Nats bullpen is going to be tough. If we get to the 6th or 7th with a lead, we will have a solid shot to win.

Offense is not great right now, but it's early. Zimm has won two games so far, which is a great step up by a third year player. Guzman is giving us a spark too. Johnson and Kearns are playing well, so we've got the top of the order clicking.

Great time to be a Natties fan.  With the mix of young talent, new ballpark, and a first class manager - I am really excited for the future.

If starting pitching can stay halfway decent and healthy this season, I think the bullpen and offense can keep us right around (or even a little over) .500.

The nats are up 5-1 on the Phillies right now and hopefully can hold out to get there first sweep of the year.  The game last night showed something because it is definitely difficult to pull through in a 1-0 game, especially for the Nats who haven't had a good track record in that area.  Redding looked great though, and how about Ryan Zimmerman.  It's great to get the franchise player off to a hot start.  I could get used to being undefeated.  Seriously though, the Nat's have a high level of talent and I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be true contenders in the NL east.  It is only a matter of sustaining that talent throughout an entire season.  I'm already having flashbacks of 05' whent he Nats were in first place going into the all-star break.  Hopefully we can do the same this year, without plummeting to last place following the break.

3-1

What a game. I was a bit upset that we blew such a nice lead (although I knew it would happen when we didn't score in the 2nd with bases loaded) but we still won the series.

I thought that after Colome put Utley and Howard on that Manny Acta should have brought out Rausch. At least we made them earn that win, and we also put a hurting on their bullpen, so maybe they (Phillies) will lose their next series too.

I hope that we can carry this weeks momentum into St. Louis and come away with this series as well.

Still, taking two out of three from the Phils is fine. The good news is that Rauch is rested for this next series.

How about Guzman? Good start for him. Zimmerman has been clutch (though he grounded out with the bases loaded in the 9th last game), but he hasn't been consistent. We could use a couple more hits from him. Does anyone know why Acta didn't use Dmitri Young last game? There were several situations where he was a better pinch hitter than the options.

3-2

While I didn't get to watch much of the game, it seemed as though Looper was having a pretty good night on the mound. I also saw Perez get himself into some trouble.

I see that we ended up only losing by a run (in my opinion the worst way to lose). However, at least we have been in every game in this young season.

Lets turn this thing around and get some W's this weekend.

The last two games did not go that well.  I hope for a win (or two) this weekend.  I still don't know what to think about the Nationals pitching.
