Well the CU game has been moved to Sunday.  I think this is a good move for both schools as the money will be better, but the one thing that is troublesome is the whole day to drink.  The kids will be rowdy at that game and lots of trouble will certainly come with it, but the national attention is big.

Aside from that, the spring game has told us Farris and Bell will be the main starters.  I like the prospects of our defense being respectable again, but with no receiving group, our running game might suffer yet again because other teams will stack the box thinking we wont catch a pass.  Hopefully we have some freshman coming in who will contribute on that end of the field.

What do you guys think?  I think we are looking at a 4 or 5 win season, maybe 6 and a bowl game if we are lucky.

I dont necessarily agree with no recievers

watch out for Rashaun Greer, he will be a force next year.

and there is always drinking and rowdiness. that makes the game fun, so the day change is inconsequential

i'll be optimistic and call 7-9 wins next year

I know there is drinking and rowdiness anyways, but that is why the game was moved last year to the morning, to cut down on that stuff and now they are bringing in adults to since they have the next day off for Labor Day.  Anyways, it contributes to the atmosphere and it will be fun.

CstRamTeam, I don't agree with your receiving call.  In reading articles, Fairchild has routinely called out the receiving corps saying they weren't catching the ball and had poor route running.  He also stated that the freshman coming in have every chance to get both starting jobs which says something.  If we can't catch we wont be able to run the ball which spells another bad season on offense.  I will watch Greer and see what he does.  I also think 9 wins is a little optimistic as BYU, Utah, and CU all will be difficult.  I can see maybe 7 and I will say we win 6, but I don't see anymore than 7.

yeah he's a friend of mine and has shown promise since our freshman year, so he should come out ready to play. Other than that i agree the depth is a little suspect in the recieving corps.

gotta keep it optimistic though, if we come out with enough heart against those three we may squeak out wins. Same goes for when we play Cal

since i'll be one of those "rowdy kids", i'll try not to drink too much this time.
