"Hahahaha, this is hilarious. Oh and let me add that the Patriots are 18-1,including losing the , by a far, greatest upset in sports history. Ha-ha-ha-ha. You fans are a joke."

The Steelers and their guaranteed win over the Patriots is a joke.

mmac30,

Dont get me wrong now, I am well aware that it is violating a rule. And I absolutely HATE the Pats. But! I think it is probablly the second dumbest rule in the NFL, behind the tuck rule. The rule is horrible, if you can have people watch a guy and write down the signals, what is the big deal if he takes pictures of it. So what. Leave the pats alone, let the game be even more competitive than it already is. If they get rid of Belichick, it would be BAD for the NFL. The NFL needs dynastys like this, Good Guys vs Bad Guys. Red vs Blue, Steelers vs. Cowboys. The only thing we need is for the Colts to step up and beat them.

not as big of a joke as losing the superbowl...giving you your first loss of the season.

The only thing this team is going to be remembered for is losing the greatest upset in sports history and cheating.

Also, 5 superbowls...and none of those  were considered "cheating".

Seriously if you are going to play The Jets twice, The Bills twice, The Dolphins twice, and consider yourself "the best team anyone has ever seen on the field", try winning a superbowl first.

Please mvc, you're full of it bro. For all the flack the Patriots got for videotaping signals, I was not surprised that people jumped on the hater bandwagon when news of other video came out.  It's just laughable to me that people like Matt Walsh even get airtime.  He's a nobody with nothing but a vendetta.  This story is a non-story, but nobody cares about that because his being puppetered out by Arlon Spector was good enough to ruin a franchises reputation in the minds of most people outside of New England.

whats "laughable" is the fact that the commish and the owner of the pats are pals, and that the commish decided that since he couldnt keep the original evidence secure at NFL headquarters that he had to destroy the tapes the Patriots had made.

Arlen Spector didnt ruin the franchises reputation, Bill Belichick did.  Spector was just the guy stirring the pot and rabble rousing.

Matt Walsh very well may be a nobody, we may never know what he may have done, or what the Patriots organization may have done in previous superbowls that were against the rules.  He did garner enough attention to secure legal protection, with the agreement to turn over whatever material he has. Now the commish can destroy that to.

For those who argue "we got fined, we lost out draft pick"

the fines that were paid were nothing compared to the money made by the Patriots organization from merchandise sales that accompany multiple Superbowl "wins".

Except for the few idiots who maintain that a) everybody does it and  b) it isn't illegal, I kinda feel sorry for New England fans. When their so-called dynasty started, I thought it was cool when the Patriots introduced the team instead of individuals in the SuperBowl. Since then, I think they're become arrogant and classless. Some of their fans are acting the same way.

What I don't get is New England had a great team. Why cheat? Just to make sure? To build a dynasty? To go undefeated? It seems to me that Belichick's ego got in the way and screwed up a good thing.

No matter what happens, from now on, their accomplisments will be tainted and the only way for New England to rid itself of it's soiled reputation is to fire Belichick. Then and only then, the current players may have a chance salvage some of their image.
