	You would think Franklin or McClellan. Maybe Flores will get a situational save or two. McClellan has the higher strikeout rate which you like to see from your closer. But I think Tony will go with the more experienced arm in Franklin.

	Very strange. He's been really good the last 3 or 4 years. Only blew 2 saves all of last season I believe. He'll get the job back.

	sounds like a knee jerk reaction to there 3rd loss in a row and a blown save... they're still atop the NL central and should probably keep things the same until that changes. maybe he's just getting a rest or something instead of actually losing his closer job.

	backing up my theory. mlbtr says izzy asked for a break b/c hes been overworked so they will use a temporary closer.... i bet he returns to his role no matter how good the other guy does in replacement... izzy and larussa go back.

	franklin and flores will both split the time at the closer position but personally i wish they would leave izzy in so the Cubs can regain the first place slot in the division

	He’s blown quite a few saves although he has 11 saves this season which I think is the most in the NL. I’m fine with La Russa taking Izzy out of the closer role. He says that they’re going to “mix and match” in regards to pitchers late in games.

	Izzy just needs a few days off and needs to be put back in when there isn't a save situation to work on his stuff, he needs a confidence boost from the fans as well. I think he'll get the job back, but if he doesn't Villone or Franklin would make a decent closer option.
