Gazzo I completely agree with you.  I didn't agree with firing Avery in the first place, as I had trouble pinning Dallas's struggles specifically on Avery's poor coaching.  The hiring of Carlisle, with how similar he is, makes the move even more strange.

However Feanor remember when has Mark Cuban ever made sense?
Avery was a good coach, its not his fault that his team ran into the buzzsaw that is the Hornets
He's not the one who ruined the chemistry by bringing in Jason Kidd

and Pistons fans, is Chauncey for sure out tonight? And how do yall think you will do without him?

I would like them to keep Chauncey rested.

Lindsey Hunter and Rodney Stuckey can fill in the void and get us a W against a weak Jameer Nelson/Carlos Arroyo.

Lindsey is a PEST on defense and he has been around long enough to understand the offense and I think he is fully capable of running the team.  (he has a coaching job lined up for him whenever he retires)

Stuckey is a good scorer.  He can create buckets himself by driving it to the lane.  It's really hard to drive it in on Dwight Howard thats why I like Lindsey to get everyone else involved.

b100d the Spurs still have some good fans .. but they've become a lot like Lakers fans (no offense).  In other words .. they just sit and show up whenever the championships roll in.  If they're not blowing teams out or winning titles .. they don't care.  And that's just not right.  Especially when it was only a decade or so ago that this team had one of the best fan bases in the league.  I'll never forget how this city responded when they won the title back in 1999.  But they really don't seem to care as much now.

DJ,
I agree with you in general that our remaining two points should be able to keep up with Orlando's, but here are my concerns: 1)Lindsay's legs-they were only counting, and prepping him for ~10min/game.  They will need him more than that, hopefully he has the energy.  I think he will as he only has to do it for one game likely.  2)Can Stuckey stay out of foul trouble, they will be attacking him as much as possible.  He has the ability as long as he remembers not to try and reach in to stop everything...sometimes when you get beat you have to just let it go and try to negate it at the other end, especially if you are thin at the position. 3)Scoring when Afflalo is in for RIP.  With the need for Stuckey at the point they won't be able to use him to spell RIP at the 2, and with Howard down low they can't as easily switch to going down low for points.  This is where Tayshaun has to come up big!

Well honestly i can't argue that... there are some pretty bad bandwagoners around the Spurs now. i guess the majority of the Spurs fans have been spoiled by success... I can remember the endless years of losing in the playoffs and disappointment as a young boy, and that makes me appreciate how good they are now that much more...

On another note what do yall think about D'Antoni supposedly accepting the Knicks offer... I have to ask why? Who is going to be the triggerman over there? Curry and Jerome James have really no hope of fitting into D'Antoni's offense... horrible decision by D'Antoni, guess money really does speak huh?

It looks as though the Pistons offense is finally rolling, and they have gotten into the heads of the Magic. Shame as the Magic were playing well... But when you don't give the ball to your best player what do you expect?

I can't believe D'Antoni took the Knicks job.  I thought the Suns position was better than both the Bulls and Knicks .. but you could tell he wanted to leave.  You could also tell that Steve Kerr no longer wanted him there.  But at least he had the players in position to succeed in Chicago.  Unless he considers changing his system .. how is he going to get Zach Randolph and Eddy Curry up and down the court?  It doesn't seem like a very good match.

But it's a business and he's getting the best paycheck he can get.  I'm not mad at that.

Glad to see that Delonte West can gain some confidence in himself. Still, Mike Brown needs a good offensive coordinator.
