Former USC basketball player O.J. Mayo, a projected lottery pick in this year's NBA draft, received thousands of dollars in cash, clothes and other benefits in apparent violation of NCAA rules while he was still in high school and during his one year in college, a former Mayo associate told ESPN's "Outside the Lines."

Froggie. i just watched that too. There are reported rumors but nothing has been proved yet. I wouldn't be surprised though. I think it happens more than we know obviously.

By the way froggie. my buddy is coming down to Dallas in a couple of weeks. He is bringing me BBQ I just payed for friday from ...Oklahoma Joe's baby! 10 slabs of ribs, 3 pounds of the "smokey joe" brisket and a case of "the night of the living dead sauce". You have to be jealous.

Gates?? Really? I thought Gates was OK. They do have the best bulk deals for whaen I used to give archs/engineer luncheons but I was always particular to OK Joe's and Bubba's. I lvoed walking into gates. There would be a huge line but yet as soon as you walked in they would yell at you for your order and no matter what you thought, they got it right every time.

On the way back to Dallas this afternoon, ESPN had a report on it. Conicidence that he was recruited at the same highschool as Reggie Bush?? Coincidence that they both went to USC?? I also like the comment, anyone is a fool if they are shocked or think that this doesn't go on all the time.
