Gomez is going to be great, but I'd rather have Santana.

d-rock, are you sure you're a Mets fan?

Reyes will be fine and Perez is a free agent after this season so they won't get too much for him (esp as irratic as he has been).

Where is Nady going to play?  With Church playing great and Alou just back, he would be our 4th OFer.  Alou has already shown what he brings this team....he even stole home the other night, you gotta love it.  The problem is he needs to stay on the field (keep your fingers crossed).

As far as Delgado, he isn't going anywhere b/c no one wants him and we have no one to  play 1b.  Hopefully his bat heats up as the weather gets warmer.  He seems to be in better form then last year, so hopefully he can improve on his 24hr and 87 rbis from last year (which is not bad for a 6 hitter, but just not what you expected from him).

Keep Bonds away from Shea....don't even let him visit on an off-day.

I guess this just shows the loyalty of this fanbase. I come on here no matter how bad my Marlins are.

Let's talk about anything.

Is Willie going to last another 2 weeks?

Did Aaron Heilman give up another homer or walk the bases loaded again?

Do you guys still want Lastings Milledge back?

Did Jose B. Reyes learn a new dance or will he actually hit something other than mistake pitches?

Did David Wright win his appeal about shortening the distance between 3B and 1B?

Did Carlos Delgado figure out Canseco's phone number so he can get directions to the fountain of youth?

Did Moises Alou also call Jose Canseco for the same reason to help his nuts?

Will Oliver Perez stop screwing me in fantasy baseball by actually pitching well instead of hosting a walk-a-thon?

Can Johan Santana ever get enough runs and bullpen support to actually win some games and earn all that money?

Will Omar Minaya ever make a great move that was under the radar and didn't take common sense to do?

Can Angel Pagan ever play like he did before he realized the season had begun?

When will Mike Lupica (a.k.a Gay Dark Helmet, part of the triplets split up at birth - David Samson & Rick Moranis) realize that no one outside of New York wants to be force fed an all New york World Series?

Will the Mets ever stop giving us so-called haters such good ammunition?

Did I cover everything about the Mets and my taunting questions?

The post above is why no one wants to talk to you, Hype. It's not that we're not around: it's just that talking to you is like talking to a frickin' fire hydrant.

If once, just once, you actually seemed to want to have an intelligent conversion, then maybe more people would take you up on your offer.

But you are the little chihuahua yapping at people's ankles. We all imagine that there is a point to the yapping, but no one can figure it out. It's just annoying.

Actually, heitgross, it has everything to do with expanding the fan base and relatively little to do with the young talent coming out of Latin America. Of course that plays a role, but Minaya could care less where his talent comes from. The kinds of fans that attracts... well, FSNY is still in its baby stages, relatively, and with no other programming in the offseason, it better make some damn nice ratings during the season.

So yes, I think a conscious effort has been made to court Latino fans, and its worked. When was the last time you were at Shea? "Spanish with Professor Reyes", intro music is all latino R&B... there is a definite agenda there.

It just so happens that the decisions which are financially beneficial also happen to be good for the team on-field. But lets be honest... Minaya hasn't brought in any young latino talent, which totally discredits the idea that he;s in touch with the latino baseball community and therefore poised to exploit the less well known players. He's brought in Latino established FA... doesn't take much genius to recognize Carlos Delgado is a good player 13 years into his career.

Its all business for Minaya, and he's done a superb job

I am losing more and more computer time to my son lately, might be time to get another laptop. Can't have PH getting lonely on here. If you come on after he goes to sleep I'll be happy to listen to your anti-Mets dribble.

Mets will lose in the NLCS.Hey Silver who are you rooting for since you gave up on the Scanks? I know I suggested the Rays but I don't recall your answer.
