That's exactly what he's saying since he throws $ signs in his words... It's the most trite played-out taunt non-Yankees fans have, and it's SO OLD.
Like it's the Yankees' fault there's no cap. That's what happens when you have a league that lets the inmates run the asylum in all facets of the game.

You probably learn how to spell. Also, how about you shut your mouth and we'll see who's doing what in October because for some silly reason every single year the Devil Rays are always in last place.

you should learn Tampa's team's name. And yes every year before this it was true, because they'd start the year in last place after around 10 games....this year we're a half game out of 1st a 4th into the season! At the very least thats good progress for the near future

The Rays are looking decent this year, and are a pleasent surprise, but lets be realistic about this. The Rays have no shot to win this division. I can see them hovering around the .500 mark until the all-star break, The Yankees have been starting off horribly over the last couple of seasons, and we see the same result every year. They will be in the playoffs this year......and choke.

Take it from an Angels fan who had to watch while the Rays totally dominated us this past weekend, this is a different Rays team. They may not make the playoffs, but they won't be in last place at the end of the season either.

sorry SevenYearHawk but even if the Yankees do finish in last there is no chance that the Rays beat the Red Sox and take first.

Sadly enough your eloquent reply epitomizes most of the Yankees fans I have come in contact with throughout my life. Can never admit that they may be failing especially to the Rays of all teams. The Yankees made a mistake bringing in Girardi who was a teammate with many of the current players and is not havig the success the are used to.
Yes they spend a lot of money but I have no issue with that because the rules do allow for that. Obviously The Rays have a new owner that has is committed to spending more to suceed and look at what they are doing.
The Rays will compete for the WIld Card spot for one reason and one reason alone. They have solid defense and consistant pitching from the pen. Many games were lost last year by the bullpen after teh pitchers pitched great it can really bring you down ( see Cliff Lee's ND yesterday after pitching 9 inn w | |
