There is our schedule! I think that we can possibly go 10 and 2 or maybe 9 and 3 with a worse case scenario of 6 and 6!
This all depends on our retruning starters which I think is 17 of them! So what do yall think that we can do this year? Predicted finish?

How about a bump for ECU!!
ECU fans are a rarity on this board. They deserve a bump!!

That schedule is kind of tough. Just taking a quick look through it I predicted 6-6.

I will take a stab at it.
Virginia Tech-closer than people would think. Still, VT too much for ECU.-Loss
West Virginia-again, I maintain, closer than you'd think....but...Loss
at Tulane- bloodbath-Win
at NC State- minor upset-Win
Houston- first home win of the season-Win
at Virginia-tough to call here....but got to go with home team in a close one-Loss
Memphis- blow out- Win
at UCF- Knights won't be as good as last season, and ECU beat them-Win
Marshall- blow out-Win
at Southern Miss- tough to call- but I'll give ECU the upset on the road-Win
at UAB- know nothing about this team, so I'll give the nod to 17 returning starters-Win
UTEP- are there any strip clubs near ECU?-Win
I see you playing Tulsa for conference Usa title. Good luck, they can play offense.
So 8-4 or 9-3 is quite possible. Hope it works out for you guys. Have a great season!

I must say, that is a very good non-conference schedule for ECU. I see 8-4. Losses to 3 of 4 BCS opponents and then 1 other along the way.
Best of Luck!

Good post PF.
I think were looking at 2-2 OOC and 7-1 in conference, however, I dont think its a stretch to say 3-1 OOC and 6-2 in conference. I want to at least play for the conference title this year but I dont want to give away any of those OOC games.
We'll know a lot after those first two weeks. I'm predicting that we are NOT 0-2. The goalposts better look out...

ECU should be contending for Conference USA championship with two of the most important on the road against the best of your division. The OOC is brutal but also could give you a splash if you can take 3. Getting VT in the opener is a very good spot for ECU. Last year you had a shot in Blacksburg and they will be retooling a bit on defense this year. Getting WVU at home before the Mountaineeers go to colorado also is a good break. So just maybe (I do think it will be an interesting ballgame). It is early enough and I think are vetern enough.
But .... After all is said and done 8-4(7-1) is my early prediction. There is a lot of hope.

14-0 and a National Championship
Back to reality!!!
10-2 on the good end
7-5 on the not so good side
We are returning most of the team (minus Chris Johnson) but hopefully someone will step up and fill his shoes.

Aug. 30 - Virginia Tech @Charlotte (ESPN/ESPN2), L, will be closer than everyone will think but VT is a few years ahead of ECU.
Sept. 6 - WEST VIRGINIA (ESPN/ESPN2), L, WVU will be a top 5-10 program, another school a few years ahead of ECU.
Sept. 13 - *at Tulane, W, ECU should win this one pretty easily.
Sept. 20 - at N.C. State, W, ECU is better than alot of BCS teams, I think they would beat NC State pretty easily.
Sept. 27 - *HOUSTON, W, ECU should win this again easily.
Oct. 11 - at Virginia, L, I think Virginia will be to much for them still, this will be a real good close game that could go either way.
Oct. 18 - *MEMPHIS, W, should win by a good amount
Nov. 2 - *at UCF (ESPN/ESPN2) *Sunday Game*, W, without Kevin Smith I think ECU will beat them, this game could go either way though, should be close.
Nov. 8 - *MARSHALL, W, should win game
Nov. 15 - *at Southern Miss, W, another game ECU should win.
Nov. 22 - *at UAB, W, Woohoo 3 game win streak
Nov. 29 - *UTEP, W, 4 game win streak to close out season
Dec. 6 - C-USA Championship Game @highest-seed campus site (ESPN/ESPN2), W against UCF, this will be a good game I think ECU will win, it would be good for ECU because they will be on a 5 game win streak going into bowl season and 2 of their 3 losses will come against top 15-20 teams, maybe top 10.
Overall I think ECU will go 10-3 and will be undefeated in the C-USA, maybe that will get them a invite to the Big East? ECU has alot of talent in my opinion and has the potentional this year to make the upsets and have a tremendous season. If they had their first round pick RB that left I think they could be going 12-1 this season.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but one problem...ECU cant play UCF in the championship game, they're in the same Division, it will most likely be ECU or UCF against Tulsa, hopefully not at Tulsa.
My goal is for ECU to host that championship game, thats the revenue generator. 6 home games (one against WVU) a neutral site game with Va Tech and that Champ game in Greenville.
Well, if the Big East wont have us, we'll just have to crash a BCS game, a win over Va Tech would surely put us on the right track for that.

I see 8-4...maybe 9-3.
Could be better because they play WVU well at home and the Va Tech game is in Charlotte.
Could easily be worse because they always seem drop one or two they shouldn't.

Why do you have to play VT in Charlotte? Too bad that's not a true home game for you guys.

WV1066,
If I am not mistaken (I have been know to be) it was a 3/3/1; 3 at VTech, 3 at ECU, and 1 neutral site (considered home game for both and in both season ticket packages).
And as of now that is the only way to get a ticket to the game is to buy season tickets.
