Homerism 101. Berkman is so far ahead of Lee at first its ridiculous. He is on pace to shatter some long existing records. The fact you put Lee on your list over Berkman shows your somewhat limited knowledge of baseball.

Also Brian McCann will get the start over Soto...I know a Cubs fan did this post and Soto is more than deserving but I think McCann gets the nod

McClouth will get the nod over Nady too

Baby Blue,

Nice post, but you have to remember that the voters in the northeastern United States are going to stuff the ballots until we are deprived of having the truly best players being in the starting line up.

So many players from the Mets, Yankees, and Red Sox are going to start. I remember a few years ago when Jason Giambi started at first for the AL via fan vote. He was hitting .208 with 10 homers at the time. I could do a much better job than the fans (as a whole), and I'm sure a lot of the other posters can say the same thing.

Anyway, here are my all-star teams at the moment:

AL:

C: Joe Mauer- Twins
1B: Kevin Youkilis- Red Sox
2B: Ian Kinsler- Rangers
SS: Michael Young- Rangers (wanted to put Carlos Guillen even though he plays 3B)
3B: Alex Gordon- Royals (an indicator of how bad AL 3B have been so far)
LF: Carl Crawford- Rays
CF: Josh Hamilton- Rangers
RF: Carlos Quentin- White Sox
DH: Manny Ramirez- Red Sox
SP: Cliff Lee- Indians

NL:

C: Geovany Soto- Cubs (tough call between Soto and Brian McCann)
1B: Derrek Lee- Cubs
2B: Chase Utley- Phillies
SS: Hanley Ramirez- Marlins
3B: Chipper Jones- Braves
LF: Matt Holliday- Rockies
CF: Nate McLouth- Pirates
RF: Lance Berkman- Astros (I don't think he has played right field yet this season)
DH: Dan Uggla- Marlins
SP: Brandon Webb- Diamondbacks

Why can't you vote for a DH for the National League? I know they don't normally use a DH, but there is going to be one in the All-Star Game.

Anyway, this is who I think will be voted in by the fans:

AL:

C: Ivan Rodriguez- Tigers
1B: Kevin Youkilis- Red Sox
2B- Dustin Pedroia- Red Sox
SS- Derek Jeter- Yankees
3B- Alex Rodriguez- Yankees
LF- Manny Ramirez- Red Sox
CF- Ichiro Suzuki- Mariners
RF- Vladimir Guerrero- Angels
DH- David Ortiz- Red Sox

NL:

C: Russell Martin- Dodgers
1B- Albert Pujols- Cardinals
2B- Chase Utley- Phillies
SS- Jose B. Reyes- Mets (not to be confused with the minor-league pitcher)
3B- David Wright- Mets
LF: Kosuke Fukudome- Cubs (toughest one to pick what the fans will decide)
CF: Carlos Beltran- Mets
RF: Ken Griffey Jr.- Reds (might be traded)

The only reason I put Lee on 1st was the fact that he is better defensively. There's no doubt that Berkman has been the MVP thus far, but he is not as solid as Lee defensively. I'm sorry for my "Limited Knowledge" of baseball horn4ever, excuse me for putting the better defensive 1st baseman in the field.
