thats a start, yes I agree Georgetown is overrated.  Is anyone going to be able to beat Memphis they look loaded.  I would really hate to see them win a NC but this could be the year. 

PS my avatar has a lot to do with Sports, isn't it the womans job to bring the man beer while he is watching sports, at least in my household it is, you should try it sometimes they really do listen when trained properly. 

I can see why this isn't working for you, because you're not following what I'm saying and it appears that this is partially by choice.

I'm talking about general characteristics, like the fact that you are probably not a convicted felon, you probably have a college degree, you probably don't find fart jokes to be as funny as I do, you probably know a lot more about painting toe nails than I do, you probably know more, instinctively about social networking with other women than I do, you probably don't act like one of the boys at happy hour....

Sure, there are people who shock the hell out of me on a daily basis, like those dudes who literally drank the kool aid, and there's things going on in remote parts of Utah that don't make sense to me. But these are outliers they fall outside of what I would consider to be general expectations.

The reason we're not agreeing, I think, is that we're betting on two different things, although my bet has a slit twist to it.

You're betting on the individual flip, and I'm betting on the complete data set. Let me ask you this, you get one bet, no coins have been flipped yet. We're going to flip the coin 30 times, what percentage of those flips will be heads? You have to pick a number and I know which one it's going to be, because only one number makes sense.

And in fact, that's what I'm doing, I'm counting coins, keeping track of where I am in the distribution, placing individual bets to get me back to the larger bet which is that N (number of flips) grows on it's way to 30, your best odds is that you're going to end up at 50%.

Smaller data sets, like 5 flips are harder to predict, but flipping 5 heads in a row is a worse bet than flipping 4 heads and one tail based on the individual probability. It's not that I don't understand the theory, it's that instead of making random bets, I'm trying to give myself the best chance in terms of what the total outcome is most likely (not sure thing) going to be.
