If an MVP was truly awarded to simply the best player in the league or the player that does the most for his team; then yes, Lebron should have won. However, MVP is more than just that. An MVP is about winning. Now the Cavs were riddled with issues all year long: contract issues, injuries, trades. So in essense, Lebron probably would have gotten more wins if these issues didn't all occur in the same year. But we don't award an MVP based upon probables.
Personally, my voting would be as follows:
Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, Tracy McGrady, LeBron James, and KG. KG is lowest on the list cause he plays with two other all-stars. With the C's; each of those all stars plays the MVP role on a given night. KG doesn't always step up and many times in crunch time; he doesn't even shoot. Others he will. He is not consistent.
However, if I could chose any of those players to be on my team or to start a team or to add to make a winning team; Lebron would be my first choice. He is the best player in the league and valuable to the Cavs moreso than any other player is to his team.
