I didnt say stop buying gas, I said stop buying Exxon's gas. (I have no probelm with Exxon but for this example I use them) but if you starve out one of the few retailers then the they drop thge price to intice you to come back.
Gotcha. I thought you were using Exxon just in general as a gas company. That's not a bad idea and I do that. I always skip Mobils if it's possible.
That really doesnt solve the fact that the high cost of energy is caused by and driven up by the natural resource owners (OPEC) and the free market speculators. There is enough oil on this earth to provide cheap energy for us until we find another viable resource but the sheeple cant figure that out as they try to save the darter snail. Hopefully the darter snail will be fine as we perish......
Mhmm. Okay we agree. It isn't your type of argument that upsets me. It's those who constantly blame the American public for buying too much gas. Yes, there are wasteful people. but gas isn't something we can do without and because of that fact supply and demand doesn't fit, as no matter the supply, demand will stay relatively constant. This doesn't justify the price gouging we see (and I don't blame just the oil companies, as you pointed out lots of the problems, plus our corrupt government who completely sold us out on the energy front. Democrats and Republicans both).
